This was our first time attending the Roller Girls. It took a few minutes to learn what was going on but once we figured it out, we were set to go. We were cheering right along with the rest of the crowd. Not as aggressive as I figured it would be and I would have loved to see them play on a raised and slanted track but this was a great time.

My daughter and I have been wanting to go for a few years now. I finally purchased tickets to the game on the 23rd. We had a blast!! Every seat is good in the balcony, but next time we go I will definitely get us tickets for the floor to be closer to the action.

I've never been to a Roller Derby Bout before so I wasn't sure what to expect, but once I started to understand more of what was going on it was a lot of fun. Before the Bout goes down they have a small tutorial about the object of the game which was really helpful and they have people designated to walk around and answer any questions you may have about Derby which I thought was pretty cool. I like that proceeds for the ticket sales go charity and I like that it seemed like the Ladies were really having fun.

Definitely not the roller derby I grew up seeing on television but still interesting. We were told by several people that it was a very slow, uneventful night and the other team questioned the calls of the refs so there was a lot of down time. From what we were told, that is not typical and we were encouraged to give it another try!

I'm glad I spent a little extra for a floor-level seat. I enjoyed being close to the action. Both bouts were excellent! I also enjoy getting to interact with the atheletes before and after the bouts.

While roller derby is always fun, this was an especially good night to take in a bout. The Minnesota Rollergirls and the Windy City Rollers put on a good, hard fight for their cheering fans. It seemed to be a good match-up between two very good teams. Agony and ecstasy were felt throughout the building as the Rollers went up by 20 points, then the Rollergirls chipped away and took the lead, only to have it taken away by the Rollers. The Rollergirls ended up the winners, but it was nearly a pyrrhic victory. Hands down, was the best bout I've ever seen!

MN RollerGirls was a fun event, once I was able to get my hands on a program to figure out the rules. It was really high-energy and exciting. Their outfits and names were great and they were very talented.
Overall, great evening.
I wish the venue could have had a better set-up as far as getting out after the event. They closed off a lot of the exits, which made it harder to get out quickly. Makes me afraid to wonder what would happen in an emergency.
Also, the upper level was incredibly warm, with no air circulation whatsoever. The air was a little hazy-looking and my eyes hurt a lot even after just a few minutes of being there.

My wife and I have the best time at the RollerGirls. We're coming for the last game this month and bringing our sister, 75, and I know she'll get a big kick out of it too. And the halftime guys, the Beatles tribute band, were a blast.

This was my first time seeing the RollerGirls but it will not be my last! I was not sure what to expect but I was blown away by the skating skills and the energy they put into the sport. The "black eye" fund raiser is a great idea too!
I suggest adding "attend RollerGirls" to your to-do list now.

The Derby was fantastic!
The venue was good but the people working it were rude, they demanded we leave imediately after the event was over, we had people in our party that had gone to the bathroom and we had to wait for them, we were forced to leave them behind and then try to find each other later. I had tickets for the 4th row in the balcony, we were told our seats were reserved and we had to set way up in the nosebleed section of the bleacher, I showed the man our tickets and he looked at them and then ignored us and would not even discuss it.

It was evident from the start that these athletes care about their fans, and their community. Pre-match activities were both entertaining and engaging. We particularly enjoyed photo opportunities, and the notion that many of the 'charges' for activities and items were really donations to local charities. My husband and daughter each purchased a 'black eye' for a dollar - proceeds to a good cause. And, thank you for the great demonstration of how match strategies and scoring are executed.
We will definitely attend future events!
