Mr. Roberson is hands down one of the most under-represented yet ravishingly talented male singers of this time. He captures the audience from the moment he hits the stage and leaves us rocking in our seats the entire night. Not only is he a phenomenal vocalist but he is quite the comedian as well. He has a great deal of humility and speaks to his fans as if we are one of his close friends. You have no choice as a fan but to be left feeling like you know Mr. Roberson personally. He leaves his audience in a frenzied state of wanting more. This night he wowed us with his encore perfomance.
Mr. Roberson was proud to take the stage of the historic Howard Theater. As a Howard University Alumnus he spoke of how the building looked to him when he was a young student on campus. I am very happy that he was able to live his dream and perform there. The theater is absolutely gorgeous. To say that the servers maximize capacity is an understatement though. The seating is first come first serve starting from the stage area. Unfortunately this leaves very little wiggle room in your seat and the risk of having subpar food service. There is a $10 per person dining fee and though the food is a bit pricey, it is not very tasty:(
Would I see Mr. Roberson at the Howard Theater again....yes! Again and again. It is very well worth it even considering the drawbacks of the venue.
