Video Games Live is consistently, quite simply one of the best concerts I go to. I have been to many VGL performances (I think this one was my 6th), and it's always phenomenal. They are always trying to change up the show, and never play the exact same selections in the same areas or venues. For example, if they go to NJ twice, the second time will have at least a few different selections than the first. Usually, the differences in each show are fairly minor, but this performance was the biggest change to the concert series by far, and it was a very welcome change!
Everyone will have their favorite segments, but being a huge Nintendo fan, the Legend of Zelda and Mario segments are my favorite. A beautiful, talented young woman named Laura "Flute Link" Intravia, has become one of the main recurring members, and there are many segments including her. She is a great flutist and a phenomenal singer as well. She leads an amazing Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Medley, as well as an awesome Super Mario medley, which includes Mario songs all the way up through the Super Mario Galaxy games for Wii.
Long story short, this show is a must see for every gamer, and if you enjoy video game soundtrack music, BUY TICKETS to a show in your area NOW! They are always touring all over the world, chances are they will come to your location.
