The children, Willy Wonka, the mother, and Grandpa Joe were great. Our only complaint, and it was very disturbing to us, was that it was way too loud. At times it was so loud that it was difficult to decipher the words. Costumes were great, sets were great, choreography was delightful.

Children's Theater did it again! Very enjoyable. The kids were great and the adult cast really seemed comfortable in their roles (the grandparents were hilarious). The music was awesome, and Charlie has a singing career ahead of him.

This play was perfect for my two granddaughters (ages 6 and 8) to attend and they loved it as well. The person responsible for condensing the movie down into two acts is a genius! This play did not miss anything from the movie and the actors were amazing! We especially loved the oompa-loompas!! I can't say enough for the actor who protrayed Willy Wonka; he was spectacular! I would recommend this show to anyone and everyone!! I would go again in a heartbeat!! LOVED IT!!!

Willy Wonka was a very good play. My friend and & I enjoyed it. There were a lot of small children in the audience and they were entranced. The performance was fun and kept moving along well, but for a few long blackouts to set the next scene, especially setting up the wiring for the fizzy lifting drink scene. I thought the actor who played Wonka was very charismatic and talented. He did need to sing a bit louder, especially during his first few scenes.
The kids were all great, though, just a bit more consistancy for all to do the "puckered face" of the oompa loompas.
All of the child actors were very talented, especially the five golden ticket winners. Charlie had a very good singing voice.

Q: Couldn't an actually chunky boy be found to play Augustus? The padding on the boy who played him was silly and distracting.

The show was my daughter's idea. I like more elaborate, Broadway productions and having seen a few similar productions in other cities the expectations where not high. Well....I thoroughly enjoyed it!!!! What a surprise! For its level, the acting, singing, live music and props were very, very good. Most of the crowd was made up of families, but there were also a few couples of various ages in attendance. The venue was also a surprise but a positive surprise. Free parking next door and across the street and very nice inside. Perfectly intimate. If you are looking for a fun, low cost live production then this is it.

Took all my kids and every one enjoyed it. Ages 17, 15, 9, 3. The show was entertaining for all ages. (although the 3 year old fell asleep at the end.)

Wasn't sure about a children's theatre show, but Willy Wonka kept me on the edge of my seat. It was incredible! All of the actors were very impressive! Felt like I was on Broadway!
