I am an 18 year old girl who just happened to stumble upon this amazing talent one night when I decided I did not want to go to sleep. I turned on the television around one in the morning and The 2005 Carnegie Hall performance of South Pacific was on and before I knew it I was mesmerized and fell in love with Brian Stokes Mitchell. After that I looked up everything I could about him and listened to probably almost all of his songs, those I could find on Youtube anyway, I even went out and brought the Carnegie Hall Concert version of South Pacific. This concert was a special and amazing night for me, probably one of the greatest moments of my life, I never thought I would get the chance to see him perform live, he is such an amazingly talented person, and very funny, I enjoyed every song he sang. Being able to hear "The Impossible Dream" and "Wheels of a Dream" live was breathtaking. It was truly an unforgettable experience that will take with me forever.

This concert was the BEST! Brian Stokes Mitchell has one of the most magnificent voices in the world today. The concert had something for everyone--jazz, standards, show tunes and more. Of course he sang his signature songs from the musicals he has appeared in, which were my favorite part of the concert. His "This Nearly Was Mine" was not only beautifully sung but also extremely moving. He not only sings a song, but acts it as well. He is the ultimate performer.. Stokes' comments made the songs even more meaningful. The musicians were all very talented as well, especially the pianist who added so much to the songs You couldn't ask for a better evening's entertainment.

What a performance! We see many different kinds of shows and this was one of our favorites of all time! His voice is amazing which we knew but the variety of his performance was unexpected and delightful!

BSM can do it all- from jazz to Broadway. His command of a stage is breathtaking and his ability to become the characters he portrays is astounding. The timbre of his voice pierces my heart. What else is there to say? There are not many performers like Mr. Mitchell- it was an evening I will remember.

Brian Stokes Mitchell has an incredible voice and his passion and goodness shine through in everything he does onstage and off. He is not only an amazing singer but an enthusiastic entertainer who mesmerizes the audience from beginning to end. His rapport with and admiration of his musicians added to the evening. Although he performed for two hours with no intermission it was obvious that no one was ready to go home when he ended the concert. He is a gifted man and anyone who sees him perform in person will come away "Grateful" to have been there.

Brian has a fabulous voice and it's a pleasure to listen to him. but his choice of songs was boring. He needs to jazz it up a bit, some faster beats and less about his son.

Loved how he reviewed the characters and shows prior to singing the songs. He acted as he sang! A humble, honest , proud father and husband! Gave such credit to his amazing band, too!

Until Friday the only tines that I had scene Brian Stokes Mitchell perform was in a play and in character. IHe was what I had hoped for and more. He sang beautifully in and out of character and has an amazing stage presence. I will be looking to see when I can catch another one of his concerts - hopefully in the near future, Loved every minute of the show.

We have seen Brian Stokes Mitchell in concert (well, cabaret--Feinstein's) before, and this performance exceeded our expectations. Great song set with plenty of variation, nice talk in between, amazing pianist and band, fantastic sound quality--the mix picked up and conveyed every beautiful nuance in both piano and vocals. A full 2-hour concert with no intermission--impressive.

What a voice this man has! For over two hours, my husband and I sat mesmerized as Brian Stokes Mitchell sang a variety of songs from the greats of Broadway, as well as Cole Porter and Ella Fitzgerald! His voice has such a rich, tonal quality, that you are instantly transported to another world! It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening!

I have traveled to see Brian before and he never disappoints. His voice is extremely versatile and it is a pleasure to experience the different genres of his vocal repertoire. He is so positive, funny and has a fabulous voice.

If you have an opportunity to hear Stokes, by all means, GO! He is not only one of our most brilliant singers, my his rapport with the audience is unmatched. I think this speaks to the genuineness of both the person and the performer. Brilliant!
