In October 2009, I planned a girls weekend in NY with my mother, sister and daughter. The highlight of our trip was to see the play "Wicked". The plays was a wonderful twist on the "Wizard of Oz". The acting and musical arrangements were excellent and the story line was surprisingly humorous. I left the show rooting for the "Wicked Witch of the West". I guess even the green evil people have their own story if we'd just slow down to listen. Anyway, we enjoyed the show and would highly recommend it to friends and family.

We were told by everyone that this show was amazing. It was, in fact. Not really knowing much about the story line when we went to see it, I was thrilled by the creativity of the author in taking a well known tale and recreating it from a completely unique vantage point. The singing was fantastic, acting and sets equally so. We had nosebleed seats, but had no problem seeing or hearing, and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the show! Well done!!

Wow! If you believe in your heart that you should not judge a person's character until you have walked a mile in their shoes, then this is the play for you. If you have been to high school and suffered because you weren't part of "THE" crowd, this is the play for you. If you like a story that allows you to get emotionally involved and invested in the characters, this is the play for you. If you like to laugh and want to be a party to all the inside jokes, this is the play for you. The story is so clever and the execution is so amazing that no one should walk away disappointed. Nothing is ever as it seems and surprises and revelations await around every corner. Grab your broom and enjoy the ride.

I had heard from anyone who had seen "Wicked" that it was so good, but I didn't believe anything could exceed my expectations. Both my husband and I loved it. We thought it was funny and thought provoking--a totally smart play. The characters of Glinda and Elphaba were captivating. The set and costumes were thrilling additions and the orchestra topped off the whole event like warm syrup on pancakes.

Featured Review

This was the best musical I have ever attended. We brought our 16 year old daughter for her birthday and she was ecstatic. We all had a fabulous time. I am not much of a broadway buff but this was excellent. We stayed by the stage door for autographs and the players were eager to oblige. Everything was wonderful. I send our thanks to them for a great performance.

Our family of 4 includes 2 teenage boys who raised their eyebrows when I told them we would be going to see Wicked. Their first Broadway show. During the show I heard them laughing with the characters and saw them smiling. We thoroughly enjoyed the music and the story. A great spin on a classic tale. Nicole Parker (Elphaba) gave a moving performance that brought tears to my eyes and Alli Mauzey (Glinda) had us giggling with her sweet quirkiness. We would see it again in a heartbeat.

I really didn't hold much hope for enjoying this musical, but I was bringing my wife (who was dying to see it) for our Anniversary. After the first act, I turned to my wife and said, "Wow, this is actually pretty good." After the second act, "I was the first one giving the standing ovation. It blew me away.

Very good show. Not a big Broadway or musical connoisseur but the story had a logical plot that you could easily follow though all the singing, actors were talented, a bit of cutesie humor thrown in for good measure. My wife had read the book and the story line deviates a fair amount so there may be some mild disappointment for those who are fans of the book.

Great story. Super cast especially Dee Roscioli, Erin Makey ,Rondi Reed and PJ Benjamin. PJ was born to play the wizard.
I have seen this show several times and this is one of the best casts and productions.

This show was absolutely fantastic. I read the book and it differs a bit but it was amazing. I would recommend this show to anyone, whether you like the Wizard of Oz or not this show is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The cast is so nice! If you go to the stage door after you can get autographs!

Took my 10-year old daughter for her birthday. The show was amazing. We loved the way the story explained the background of the good/bad witches - done very cleverly! The music was beautiful -- the performances outstanding! I had no real expectations when I went but was blown away -- surprisingly there were quite a few funny moments as well -- "Ga-linda" was hysterical! Go -- sat in the third row of the front mezzanine and saw EVERYTHING.

Location: Philadelphia - Drove to NY for the show

I had no interest in Wicked, but my daughter has to perform one of its songs in her singing class, so she asked me to take her. I was a bit worried because she doesn't like musicals all that much, but insisted in watching this one to help her perform her song better.

Both of us were blown away by the show. The performances were outstanding. The story fantastic. Overall, a beautifully put together show.

The audience gave the cast a standing ovation. At the first hint that the show was over, all of us rose to our feet. It was truly incredible! Amazing! I would see this again in an instant.

There is a reason why Broadway is Broadway. My daughter and I had an unforgettable day.
