The actual wrestling was awesome.
I felt St. Louis was not prepared for the NCAA Wrestling Championships.
Lack of restaurants around Union Station. The other restaurants toward downtown were under staffed on Thursday and Friday.
Bad timing with the Saint Patrick's Day Parade on Saturday. Lack of places to eat because of the parade crowds.
There were NO extra fan fest activities like there were in 2008 and 2009 when the NCAA Wrestling Championships were here in St. Louis.

Disappointed with Ticket Master about their version of 'Commemorative NCAA tickets'. In 2008, we received tickets that was Commemorative. A pictorial sheet with ARCH and Championship MAT setup blended on the page behind the ARCH. All 6 sessions were included as part of the picture. I dont know what is so Commemorative about this year's black and white printed tickets.

Well run tournament. Parking was expensive but plenty available. Wrestling was great and the best refereed tournament of the last 15 I've been to. The finals session was drug out a little to long. Biggest disappointment was ticket availability for next year's session in Des Moines. Only 700 tickets were available to general public (of which I am one) and they sold out in 3 hours. I didn't get any as I heard no announcement when they were going on sale. I have missed only one tournament since 1990, but will probably not get to go to the next one. The NCAA tournaments are becoming user unfriendly to the general public!!!!!

For anyone that has ever participated in Wrestling you will greatly enjoy this event, if you have never wrestled, but enjoy MMA, you will also ENJOY this event. The energy in the auditoriums is unbelievable, with the Family and Teammates of these highly dedicated athletes the emotions involved during each 7-9 minute match is UNMATCHED by anything else you will ever attend. These are amatuer athletes that have dedicated up to 20 years to get to this tournament, to this level....Friday of the 3-day event may be the best, quarter final and semi-final matches can be some of the most competitive in the tournament......

I love going to this tournament when it is in St. Louis. Easy to get there, pretty good food options, ok hotel space. Also love the train that gets you everywhere, no car needed. I wish they would hold it there every year. Great venue.

The championships as always pits the best college wrestlers in a three day crucible. In which the top wrestlers and their teams find out that it takes more than skill to be the best. The venue is great. Access to many attractions in the area. For foodies, the venue is blocks away from many trendy and some hidden gem restaurants. The minuses of this event, is that the St. Patrick day parade and run was in the same area and at the same time as a semi final round. This made getting in to the event a little difficult. The last minus, is good tickets are hard to find. Most of the good seating is sold to universities and resellers. So it is easy to get tickets, but hard to get good ones

For hosting this for the first time in LaCrosse you did a great. Now lets make it even better for next year. Here are some suggestions to make the event even better.

1- figure out how to make the announcers voice louder or audible when the crowd is reacting
2- have 2 score boards on the championship mat
3- we probably are a long way away from getting a large video board - so in the mean time put the screens you have above the center of the mat so that you don't have to look away from the actual match.

Thanks for the youth event on Thursday anf the volunteers that assisted - it was a great opportunity for area youth
Thanks to the UWL coach for talking to the boys after it was all done - motivating them as they persue there wrestling dreams

This event was very well done. There was lots of parking, free too, amazing. The staff was pleasant and helpful. No problems entering and exiting. The sessions started on time and kept moving.
We have been to this event many times and were impressed with Cedar Rapids the last 3 years. La Crosse did an equally good job. Thanks; we'll be back next year.

I thought the wrestling was great, but honestly thought the refs robbed many wrestlers from certain matches. I lost my voice because of the bad calls made from yelling at the ref. I felt bad for certain wrestlers that got robbed by the refs.
