This was a great concert to watch. I didn't expect much but the venue suited his act which was heartfelt and sincere. He and his band were very chilled and we got a great seat upstairs almost on top of the band where we could sit, chill and enjoy in peace with them.

My first time seeing donovan live except for watching his sessions @ abbey road concert on TV. 5 piece band and had a great trumpet player who jammed with the band. He only played a 90 minute set. First 5-6 songs were on electric and didn't feel his groove much. Once he moved to accoustic he got in his element. Show would have been much better had he had the lady backup singers with him - but I enjoyed the show. Great vibe with the croud - but alot of chatter @ the show.

This was the most exciting show I've seen in a while. Donovan's music is timeless! At some points I did feel like I was stepping back into a 70's groove. His band was amazing playing multiple instruments at the same time. His music is just amazing! The crowd was having fun dancing and singing along. I recommend him to everyone!

This show was unbelievable. Gary Jules, the opening act, did a fantastic job. He had the whole crowd excited and ready to rock out. He has an amazing voice and was so personable. Donavon Frankenreiter did a simply amazing job. This has been by far the best live performance I have seen in a long long time. Everybody was dancing and singing along. I have a new found respect for this band and will definitely be going to see them again!

Donavan rocked the house last night at the Mercury Lounge in NYC. It was fun, groovy and it seemed to me, everyone had an amazing time. Just the right amount of jams, covers and horn pops. Check him out at the other locations in NY....

this guy deserves so much more attention...along with his incredibly talented band...a little bit rock, folk, jazz and blues...loved the harmonica from matt (bass player). this is feel good music...lyrical and substantive...a throwback to the 60s era, but with a modern twist. Gary Jules is a wonderful complement...hard to beat their version of The Weight (and it's a long list of illustrious singers who have included it in their own set lists)....
his appeal is broad based...this coming from a fan who is nearing the mid century mark.

Donny's got it all...you all should def get out and see one of his shows. Great music, great people, and a sick vibe throughout the whole night. He even stays afterwards to meet everyone and snap some pics. If you ever get the chance to go see him..GO!

First time at Mercury Lounge and loved it. Great atmosphere and good acoustics. Donavan and Gary are a cool pair and worked the crowd well.
