Amazingly talented cast in a disastrous production. I was shocked to find out the set and costume design were done by the same person because there was a complete disconnect, it looked like a jumbled mess. With the exception of the devil, the costumes lacked any sign of a clear choice and in many cases were not even properly tailored or fitted for the cast member. In the third act, there were two unacceptably long pauses (almost 6 minutes) where the curtain went down so they could change the set. I felt like a cheap attempt to attract a younger audience, throwing in cheap laughs like a Lady Gaga impersonator, tastelessly un-choreographed grinding in a bar scene, and a tacky video screen with disco balls, ugly flowers, and fireworks so distracting that it was impossible to even focus on the performers. The director's attempted social commentary on our over-stimulated society was ill-conceived and did not convey. The majority of the people sitting near me left at the first intermission, I wish I had followed.
