If you haven't seen the Crue, you are missing out! They are the most exciting group I have ever seen, and I will see them again every chance I get. Watching Mick Mars play was an honor. He is so talented- he is the greatest guitarist alive. Nikki Sixx is such a great showman, Tommy was a ball of energy and interacted with the croud quite a bit, and Vince was at the top of his game. I couldn't recommend them any higher. GO SEE MOTLEY CRUE!!!!!!

some after thoughts, first, Godsmack, don't see at all what the hype is over these guys, they can't play guitar to save their lives, I guess if you like drums and don't care at all about good guitar or vocals for that natter you'd like them live, I was pretty bored exception of the drum solos, only most of that was a bunch of classic rock cover songs, so that was kinda lame too for that reason although I did like that they at least they honored some great rockers with that segment. On a scale of 1-10 I would give Godsmack a 4, and only because of the excellent drumming, but that's it. Rude depressing lyrics, rude depressing jerk stain GS fans, terrible poser guitar playing especially the leads if you can even call them leads, vocalist is very mono tone, he has no range and I was getting a little sick of the overuse of flames shooting up all over the place the entire time, the only special effect they had, it got old fast, like their music as all their songs sound the same. Now Crue on the other hand put on an awesome awesome stage show, the effects were unreal, 2 of the hottest LA strippers you ever laid eyes on and the music was perfect, only part I didn't like was Mick's guitar solo, it was pretty horrible, he should just stick to playing the standard songs and leads which he did just awesome and hang up the fake solo, us seasoned lead guitarists know when someone is faking it, it was bad, still much better guitar work than Godslack though, won't ever pay to see GS again, blech. Glad Crue kicked butt or the night woulda been a mega yawn. Btw, I had tenth row center, so I saw and heard everything perfect from there, can''t miss much from that distance.

Crue Fest was UNBELIVEABLE! I've always liked Crue but didn't think I'd ever go to one of their concerts. I got the tickets for my husband and I think I had a better time than he did! THEY ALL ROCKED! I love Theory - they were great. Drowing Pool - I'm not a huge fan but I they were good. Then GODSMACK took the stage and I gotta say I was on my feet the whole time. When they brought out both drum sets - it was crazy! I really thought they put on a great show and I knew only a couple of their songs. Finally Crue took the stage and WOW! They were all ON! Vince sounded great - they all were great. I was IMPRESSED. WHAT A SHOW - DO NOT MISS IT if you have a chance to go!!!! My top concert of all time!

Motley Crue was alright. They played alot of slow songs and saved Girls,Girls,Girls for their last song. Tommy Lee didnt even play which really sucked. What was the most disappointing was that it wasnt a very wild show. Their where 2 dancers that danced. Come on its motley crue, their suppposed to have the most wild shows. Godsmack, Theory, And Drowning Pool was good. But Godsmack blew me away. They rocked! They got the crowd so pumped up and they where on longer than Motely Crue. It felt more like a Godsmack concert than a Crue concert. If their is a Crue Fest 3 i will go see it but it better be better than 2.

It was awsome seeing the Crue again live, but my opinion (& that of many at the show) was that Sully & co. outshined all the others, by far. C.C. Devils sounded pretty good - I'll have to check them out a little closer ; Drowning Pool also rocked the place. Theory of a Deadman was mixed all wrong and sounded terrible to those in the grandstand - they seemed a bit out of place...overall, an entire afternoon & evening of heavy duty rock 'n' roll at Cruefest 2 can't be beat!!!!

I have been a Motley Crue fan for 20 + years and I saw crue fest 1 (pappa roach stole that show) Cruefest 2 was better than the first one by far but Vince Neil is too far out of shape and it seems he is having trouble remembering the words to his own songs. Nikki, Tommy, and Mick jammed just like they always have but Vince was having serious trouble.
Godsmack was awesome and I can't wait to see them again.

A really good time is my opinion of the show. I have seen Crue two times now, but I have been a fan since " Shout at the devil" After all these years they are still making music, and making sure to stop in Syracuse again for all of us die hard Crue fans to enjoy.Godsmack at no suprise brings that kick you in the chest energy when they play. I have seen them three times,(worth every penny). Always a good show. Drowningpool had suprised me though. Normally bands at the bottom of the ticket have alot more to contend with as far as lights, sound equipment, and limited performing. Not a problem with these guys. Definately worth seeing again!!

The good: Drowning Pool put on an excellent set full of the popular hits, Godsmack set the concert on fire with their hits and an impromptu drum battle between Sully and the drummer. Motley Crue came out in full force with Tommy Lee (annoying as everything) rejoining the band for the full set. The stage show alone was the best this year from this concert goer and hearing Dr. Feelgood from front to back simply made the show worth seeing.
The bad: The two stages would start one right after the other leaving no time to get to either one before a band started. Theory of a Deadman did not sound good at all and proved to be a band that may sound good on CD but not live. Only one merch booth meant standing in line for 30 minutes to buy a shirt.
Security allowed me to take my good digital camera in but informed that I probably would not be allowed to use it. Security inside said no camera use, so I was left watching everybody with the thin digital cameras getting great shots of the show. No Cameras should mean No Cameras, but there should not be this rule anyways unless you have a professional camera with a removable lens like I was told at an earlier concert this year in Ohio.

Drowning Pool was the opening band and they were excellent. I didn't know any of their material before the show, but they put on a great show and gained a new fan!
Theory of a Deadman was next and was pretty dissapointing. I honestly was surprised they were part of this show; I didn't think they were of the same genre as the other bands. I own some of their music, and it sounded to me like they just turned up the distortion at the concert. Several of songs were good, but overall, mediocre performance.
Godsmack was amazing - as always! I've seen them 3 times before and they're always at the top of their game. They were the main reason I went to the show. I saw them twice during their last tour and can't wait for their next tour in 2010. They get you on your feet and keep you there for the entire show. They are a truly professional band that plays well together and is tight!
I had never seen Motley Crue so I was looking forward to it. Unfortunately, they were the ultimate let down. They had a great arena set, but they should have actually rehearsed a few songs and played only those few selections. They were terrible. They should know the lyrics and music after playing for 20+ years and be physically fit to perform them if they're charging for this type of event. If I were seeing a bar-band, that level of performance would be acceptable, I guess. It seems Motley Crue is using their name to raise money and not giving much in return. In the future, if they're going to peform at Crue Fest, they should rehearse a few songs and leave the actual headlining to a band that can actually deliver. We actually sat (yes, we were sitting down in our seats at a Motley Crue show) through most of the Crue-portion of the show and finally got up and left about two songs before the end. They got half way through "Shout at the Devil" before I could even recognize it! And we listened to the album on the way to the show!
Godsmack had the crowd on their feet and delivered again! Drowning Pool gained a new fan! Motley Crue gave us a reason to sit down - its sad when you look around and the crowd is texting or bored at a rock concert! Also took too long for Motley Crue to change their stage show - the crowd was disengaged and bored waiting for the Dr FeelGood set to be dismantled while Crue put something else up....
Anyway, for $50 it was still worth it for Godsmack & Drowning Pool with a couple good Theory of a Deadman mixed in.

All band members put on a top notch show. But the MVP of the evening has to be Mick Mars.
