some after thoughts, first, Godsmack, don't see at all what the hype is over these guys, they can't play guitar to save their lives, I guess if you like drums and don't care at all about good guitar or vocals for that natter you'd like them live, I was pretty bored exception of the drum solos, only most of that was a bunch of classic rock cover songs, so that was kinda lame too for that reason although I did like that they at least they honored some great rockers with that segment. On a scale of 1-10 I would give Godsmack a 4, and only because of the excellent drumming, but that's it. Rude depressing lyrics, rude depressing jerk stain GS fans, terrible poser guitar playing especially the leads if you can even call them leads, vocalist is very mono tone, he has no range and I was getting a little sick of the overuse of flames shooting up all over the place the entire time, the only special effect they had, it got old fast, like their music as all their songs sound the same. Now Crue on the other hand put on an awesome awesome stage show, the effects were unreal, 2 of the hottest LA strippers you ever laid eyes on and the music was perfect, only part I didn't like was Mick's guitar solo, it was pretty horrible, he should just stick to playing the standard songs and leads which he did just awesome and hang up the fake solo, us seasoned lead guitarists know when someone is faking it, it was bad, still much better guitar work than Godslack though, won't ever pay to see GS again, blech. Glad Crue kicked butt or the night woulda been a mega yawn. Btw, I had tenth row center, so I saw and heard everything perfect from there, can''t miss much from that distance.
