StellaStarr got back to their roots and delivered a terrific set. Classics mixed in with some strong new tunes made this show even better than the Highline Ballroom a few months ago. The Haunting "Lost in Time" was added to the mix, which was a very pleasant addition. Now for StellaStarr's next show, just add "Arlington Queen" and they'll take their song set to the next level.

As for the venue. The sound was pretty good. The volume was at the right level. Kudos to the staff for not making the common mistake of blowing out everyone's eardrums StellaStarr's music is so good, that the audience wants to enjoy every note.

If they played the BBallroom next week, I'd go again...

I enjoyed the show and thought stellastar were professional but I was
blown away by drinkupbuttercup! They are original in every way including
their writing, voices, and musical licks. Their stage show is also
high energy and a unique experience.

I go to about 10 concerts or more a year, from small shows to large acts and I can honestly say that last night's Stellastarr* show was one of the best I have ever seen. It certainly helped that it was at a small venue, but wow, did they bring the energy! Michael Jurin is possibly the best contemporary guitarist out there (although Marty Wilson-Piper from the Church is the best I've ever seen). The raw power of the show and the crowd could not be believed. Shawn's vocal and guitar play were spot on! The sound was outstanding at this show. And Amanda was radiant. Not only an excellent bass player, she is a goddess on stage. Their song selection was perfect - just enough from the new disc to make sense as a supporting tour, but they spared no old favorites. This show was...stellar!

The Stellastarr* show at the Double Door in Chicago was fantastic. The crowd had tons of energy and everyone in the midwest seemed to be enjoying this NY based band. I have been a huge fan for a while and loved to hear my favorite songs from Harmonies of the Haunted. Overall, great synergy, great show!

This was my first time at the basement. It's tiny, hot, crowded, and LOUD, but Stellastarr is one of my favorite bands and they rocked as usual. They only played for about an hour, but they packed a lot of songs in and it did not disappoint.

This is my first time seeing this band play, but I have been listening to them for about 3 years and I could not WAIt to see them live. It was an amazing show! They rocked it out for about an hour and played so well. They were electric to watch and you could tell how totally they were into performing. After the show, they graciously came out and met with the fans and were very kind and appreciative. It was a great experience. I recommend everyone check them out.

O.K....this is going to be VERY easy. $12.95 (plus service charge) per ticket. Three bands. An incredible setting. Excellent performances (minus the sound-guys/stage hand flubs during the Wild Light set) by all three bands (of course the headliner stole the show ;-p). Thanks to 20th Century Theater and all three bands for putting on a night of "priceless" entertainment. Starting with the Postmarks lush-trippy pop sounds and moving into Wild Light's catchy three-harmonies/melodic pop-rock morsels, ending with a KILLER set (and energetic encore) by Stellastarr. The evening was PERFECT music-bliss. The musical "BUZZ" is still lingering as I write this review.
