If you haven't seen Joe Klocek, you're missing out. Look him up on YouTube. He's most famous now for his video clip where he disarms a heckler not with anger, but with pure wit. He is also known for his storytelling style, and his on-the-fly interactions with the audience. I admire anyone who can really think on their feet like that.
The Punch Line is a great, legendary comedy venue in SF. I like the way it's set up, and I think it's the perfect size for a comedy club - not too big, not too small. One drawback that night was that they apparently don't have air conditioning, and it was an unusually hot and muggy night in San Francisco. Other than that, a very good experience - the waitstaff is very efficient with drink orders, the front of house staff are very welcoming and friendly.
