My wife and I attended a Tom Jones concert at the Hollywood Theatre located in the MGM casino on Las Vegas for our 1st wedding anniversary. We really enjoyed the show and both were amazed at how well his voice has held up, he sounded spectacular!! His band was great, he played all of his hits as well as some new songs and a few covers such as Mama Told Me Not to Come (and "You can Leave your hat on" although I'm not sure, maybe that was his originally). His comments between songs (often self-deprecating, alluding to his age) kept the audience laughing. My only beef with this show is that the venue was pretty lame - the seats were tightly packed with 4 chairs around tiny tables, I would have preferred more of an arena or stadium style of seating. Also there were no restrooms in the theatre, so you had to leave and find one in the casino (I couldn't find one just outside and had to wander for about 5 minutes to locate one - not cool!). I took one star off my rating because of the venue. However it was still definitely worth seeing him and I would recommend it even if you are not a fan, his performance will most likely win you over!!
