Amazing. The story was kept beautifully, and somehow the raw emotion of curiosity was perfectly preserved. The music was unique and a beautiful addition to what I will now and forever remember as Alice In Wonderland. Thank you.

The choreography, costumes, and sets were spellbinding. There were several small children in our surrounding area - and they were engaged throughout the performance, as we were! Bravi to Septine, the company, and to Ballet Hawaii for bringing this to Hawaii.

I went to see ALICE with my sister and my 7 year old daughter. The three of us aren't necessarily Alice in Wonderland fans, but we do love ballet and the pictures on the mailings I received made it hard to pass up. So glad we didn't... pass it up! The production was a really whimisical and creative take on this classic story. I couldn't take my eyes off the amazing costumes. I wished the costume designer could have come out to take a bow. Don't get me wrong, the dancers were really great too! Fun ballet for most ages (people, please leave your toddlers and babies at home)!

The ballet was wonderful. It appealed to ballet lovers and families with its use of dance to tell the familiar story. Septime Weber, himself, introduced the performance with an homage to Lewis Carroll.

The music was wonderful, but the ballet itself was just so-so. Dancers were not in sync and that was very distracting. There were gems within the performance such as the caterpillar ballet, but overall it was bland. Would have liked to see more technical movements by Alice. Costumes were beautiful.

Highest caliber, professional interpretation of this classic whimsical tale. The leads and corps de ballet performed with equal skill. The costuming and sets beautifully augmented the performanc of the dancers. Delightful!

Costumes were absolutely fabulous!!!! I was amazed from the very beginning, as were my 10 and 13 year old. The dancers were superb, and made we want to get out of my seat and dance as well. Highly recommended!

The collaboration of the Washington and Hawaii Ballets was amazing! It was such a treat to see the wonderful principals - great dancers all, and the local dancers who put on such a great show. The tiny hedgehogs stole the show, but all of the Ballet Hawaii cast really shone. I thought one male soloist was not up to par, then I realized he was only about 8 years old! I'm sure he will be knocking us out in a very short time.
The costumes are among the best I have every seen in any Ballet. The sound was a bit too loud in the beginning (it is a concert hall - you don't need to turn the amps up to stun!), as usual, Blaisdell was stingy with the air conditioning, but all in all, I had a great time.

I watched the movie over and over when I was younger so I had to go see this. It was amazing! I loved every part of it and the ballet dancers were so talented. I loved how they used all ages for the different parts of the production. This is highly recommended for anyone who loves Alice in Wonderland!!

This was a combination of ballet, Iona Pear, and Cirque du Soleil for an unforgettable experience. Everyone should put this on their must do list when you get the chance to see it.

This was one of the best stage performances I have ever seen in my over half century long life thus far. I was so impressed with the choreography and casting -- everyone was perfect for their role. This story because of its supernatural nature has only really been handled well through animation or special effects photography. In this performance however the surrealness was interpreted in an imaginative way through visual effects creatively reinforcing the integrity of the original story. I loved the inclusion of the author himself in the beginning. The props and scenery were glorious and beautifully minimalist. I want to see it again and again. Hope this will become a motion picture accompanied by the wonderful musical score written for this production. It was worth every penny of near 100 bucks I spent for a second row ticket. Bravo, Brava, and Bravi!

First off, I saw the Saturday show.
When I first saw the poster, I was so excited to see this production of Alice in Wonderland in a ballet setting! I love dance, love costumes and am a Alice in Wonderland freak.
Getting my tickets out front and waiting for the show to start, I was so excited for the show to begin!
However, once the show started, there were few stand out moments in the show. I loved the concepts of what the production was trying to do, like the Eat Me and Drink Me scenes, Pig and Pepper and the caterpillar and the doors, etc....
But overall, I thought that the Washington Ballet performers far exceeded any of the Ballet Hawaii performances. The number that bothered me the most was the doors.
The kid doors were more in sync that the adult door dancers! Two of the adult door dancers were very off and it was distracting from what would have otherwise been a great performance. The choreography was cheeky and cute!
Pool of Tears was okay, but the Caucus Race and the flamingos dragged on and on and on. The only thing that made it bearable was the baby flamingos.
Loved the taste in costuming and overall set design, especially the Queen's costume, the cards and the creative Alice costuming, but absolutely hated the styling of the Tea Party which reminded me of a really bad 80s or 90s school folder and teenage bedroom.
I think a lot of the choreography was great, but the majority of the dancers did not do the choreography justice. Especially when the songs crescendo and the performances stay flat.
The best performance of the evening goes to Brookly Mack, who played the Dodo. He is one of the few dancers who really expressed himself through the music and dance.

Alice (in Wonderland) was fantastic. Choreographer Septime Webre matched the quirky, fun story with just as quirky and fun choreography, sets, props, and puppetry. The creativity involved in making Alice grow, swim, shrink, play croquet, etc was jaw dropping. All the dancers are phenomenal, not only skilled in ballet, but also acrobatic skills. My only wish was that Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum's pas de deux was longer; it was so good, I wanted to watch more.

Septime Webbe's Alice is full of beauty and humor throughout. The use of color, stunning costumes, inventive sets, wired flight, and mime tell the story of Alice's strange journey down the rabbit hole. Absolute effortless (appearing) performance by the talented dancer/actors. The music was some of the best music I've ever heard as a sound track!! The orchestra first rate. Standing ovation at the end of the night.

Alice was the most entertaining ballet I have ever seen. My wife and 8 year old daughter were equally mesmerized. Though it departs from traditional Lewis Caroll, a bit, the storytelling through music and dance was amazing.
We attended The Nutcracker last Xmas season in the same venue and would not be able to put both "ballets" in the same universe. If someone was going to see only one live event this year......ALICE.
