Of course, I want the Lions to win. But, it's not as entertaining when it's a blowout. This game was definitely not a blowout. It was a solid win, but there were several occasions where the end score could have gone the other way.
The new stadium is fabulous, of course. I'll have to admit that I'm not a fan of the exterior appearance with all the masts and cables. Inside is very nice. I suppose it's good that the revolving doors are gone, but at the end of games they used to open the main doors so you could get blown out of the stadium. That was kind of fun.
I wasn't at the opening night game with all the vending problems. It looks like those are pretty much fixed. My only vending complaint was that the beer was warm. Since they're using standard taps, they have to prepare a lot of beers ahead, in order to keep up when the halftime crunch happens. Dudes, buy some of the Bottoms-Up dispensers so we can get a freshly poured, cold beer. Having said that, however, I DO appreciate that the bartender topped up my beer before handing it to me.
The potato fries that come with chicken fingers are excellent. Those are some of the best fries I've ever eaten.
