This is our second year attending A Christmas Carol, and we enjoyed it as much as we did the first time. I believe this will now be an annual tradition. It really is a well-cast/professional production,that I would compare to just about anything on Broadway. Scrooge, of course was terrific. Marvelous Actor...really superb. The Children were perfectly cast and obviously talented. The play would not be suitable for children under 6 years of age, as Christmas Future there are some parts that might frighten them. The cast is fantastic and it is difficult to get a bad seat in Ford's.
The theater ticket also includes admission to the Peterson house across the street where President Lincoln died. You are able to view three rooms in the house and the back porch leads to the Center for Education and Leadership Center, which features two floors of permanent exhibits addressing the immediate aftermath of Lincoln's death and the evolution of Lincoln's legacy. There is also a floor for rotating exhibits. It is an interesting museum.

The show was awesome! Well choreographed and scripted! Scrooge was amazing and it was very contemporary and relevant to what is going on today. I can't wait for next year!

We took the kids, ages 7-14, to see A Christmas Carol as a surprise. We were very excited to see the revamped theatre and it did not dissapoint. The show commenced with an audience visit from a cast member. The brief conversation she had with the kids pulled them right into the magic of the theatre from the start. Great performances, not too dark (we've seen some scary versions of this show), very good scenery. The only hiccups were with dinner beforehand, not many restaurants are open on Sunday night in DC, and part of our group was behind a column, causing us to lean left and right to see - check out the theatre layout closely.

The show was well cast and well done. The ghosts of Christmas past and present were fantastic, and Scrooge was the perfect combination of Bah-hum-bug to begin with and Merry Christmas to finish!
Great scenery and staging, and overall great show! I would love to see this one at Ford's Theatre again.

I love seeing shows at the Ford's Theatre. This one was no exception. The show was very professionally done for such an intimate theatre. We try to make a visit to the Ford's when we visit DC and this time with the kids, they were thouroughly engaged in the show, even though they know the story well.

I have seen this play several times in the past but this year was really fantastic. The cast was spot on and it just really kept your attention the entire time. The perfect ending to a nice holiday season- or beginning if you can get tickets on time!!!
