Tom Gabel/Laura Jane Grace recently came out as transgender, and I feel sorry for anyone who let that news keep them home tonight. From start to finish, an amazing show full of energy and fire. They played a really wide selection of songs from their catalog, including a handful of new tunes that I can't wait to hear on record (or mp3).

I went to this show only knowing a few songs but went because they are one of my close friend's favorite band. There was so much energy from the crowd I was blown away. All I could see were lips flapping (screaming the songs) and fists pumping. A lot like a RAMONES concert. I would totally see them again.

Awesome concert as always! I was probably one of the oldest people there, other than parents who drove their teenagers, but every time I see this band, they get better. I have seen them a few times in the Tampa Bay area, they are a must see. There is not too much music I really like these days, I grew up in the early 80's, in the punk rock era in NYC, but Against Me is definitely my favorite.

Against Me! are always incredible live. Definitely see them if you get a chance. The opening acts were also great. I had never heard of Franz Nicolay before, but he blew me away.

All of the bands were amazing and great performers. The venue was amazing, I'd drive another 7.5 hours to go see a concert at The Masquerade any time! It was great to hear good music and see smiles on all of the performers faces!!

Overall, an amazing show! Birthday Boy, Saint Alvia and Against Me! put on a tremendous high-energy show. The laid-back rocker style of Saint Alvia's lead singer was a perfect primer for the relentless driving force of Against Me!'s set.
The venue was great as well. Sound and lights were good for a smaller venue and the sound was among the best I have heard. It paralleled only the Tabernacle in Atlanta for sound quality at a rock show.
The ONLY negative (-1 star) was the stage security at Mod Club. People were having fun, crowd surfing, dancing etc. but throughout Against Me!'s set, they were also making their way on stage, some for prolonged periods. There was a very weak attempt by ONE guy to get them off stage but it was futile. This eventually annoyed the lead singer of Against Me! At one point the bassist moved in front of him to prevent people singing in his mic and touching him... Step it up Mod Club!!! I paid to see Against Me! not some random stage crashers trying to be cool!

Setlist: Don't know anything for We Were Skeletons/Dave Hause, but what I remember from Against Me! is (and definitely not in the right order): High Pressure Low, Pints of Guinness Make You Strong, White Crosses, Because of the Shame, Russian Spies, Don't Lose Touch, TSR, White People for Peace, Thrash Unreal, New Wave, Tonight We're Gonna Give It 35%, I Was A Teenage Anarchist, Violence, Miami, Walking is Still Honest, Reinventing Axl Rose, Sink Florida Sink, and I am pretty sure that is all, might be forgetting 1 or 2 songs. @

Against Me! completely owned the show, as they should, 'cause they're awesome. I loved their setlist, though it surprised me that they didn't start with "Pints of Guinness Make You Strong" I thought they always started with that song (mainly 'cause they did the other 2 times I saw them). But they played that song 2nd, so oh well haha. Anyway, Against Me! was amazing.

With regards to the opening acts, Dave Hause was also quite good. I had never heard of him before the concert, but I thoroughly enjoyed his set. The other opener however, was the opposite. We Were Skeletons, a local band from Lancaster...I hated them. The guitar/drums in their stuff was cool, but as soon as any vocals started it was ruined. All they did was scream, and nothing they said could be understood. I was pretty sure they weren't even saying actual words. Though I will say that the initial 5 minutes of noise and then hearing how silly the one guy's voice when he talks is made it slightly worth it.

As for the venue, it was nice, if a bit small. The drinks weren't too overpriced, at least the non-alcoholic ones anyway. I'm only 19, so I couldn't even go up to where the that stuff was, so I'm not sure what those prices were like.

Overall it was an awesome show and Against Me! did not disappoint (like they ever could).

The band played a relentless set of about 18 songs or so. Some people claim they've gotten soft on their albums lately, but they play the songs much heavier at live performances. Great show!

The opening bands were a bit indy for my taste but they are not why i went. Against me is always great band live and they always meet my high expectations. The venue was small enough to get right up front with minimal effort. Great show!!

The opening acts were ok, Lemuria was indie and ordinary but not bad to listen to. Screaming Females were very good actually. I ended up buying one of there CDs the next day. Against Me put on a great show, the set list was amazing, and they never stopped. They played one right after the other and the songs, even ones I didn't know well were great. Great energy from the crowd and awesome music. The downside of the whole thing was $5 bottles of water and I was in the pit from start to finish dying of thirst. I spent $20 on water and it didn't do any good.

Unforgettable. The audience was wild, but with such a positive charge! For a band about political angst, it was such an upbeat environment. Beware of moshing, crowd surfing, stage rushing, and spilled beer =)

Against Me! was great, and I enjoyed the show. My only complaint (coming from a musician standpoint) is that the tunes are far too short. I am a fan of their music, so I guess I saw this coming, however I guess just seeing it live bothered me more. I wish songs had been developed (maybe add in a solo?), but it was more a series of 2-3 minute songs connected, which I guess is OK.

Okay that aside, the sound was great, crowd energy was great, and I had a great time regardless so it's a minor complaint I suppose.

Against me! Is always a fantastic and unforgettable event. The Energy that is transferred from the band to the crowd and likewise is really something to behold. They have such a fantastic connection with their audience and it seems like everyone knows every single lyric that Tom says. You can truly tell that they are grateful for every dedicated fan that they get and truly appreciate it. The energy is palpable. Seeing them at at a smaller venue such as the Paradise is truly the place that you want to see them- They exemplify their lyrics and commitment to a fantastic and intimate show that truly leaves you reeling.

I was in the front against the guard rail, I probably have permanent hearing loss in my right ear. Band was amazing, best set list ever. Drummer handed me his stick. Openers were great, too. Yayay

To say that against me! delivered on all fronts is an understatement. I must give respect to a band whom has come from playing basements to playing stages and has not lost any of their integrity or enthusiasm. They came with all of the classics mixed in with all of the newer stuff at a furious and energetic pace, taking no breaks or useless comedic pauses. This is a band that knows what people want to hear, the music. It was a relentless show where the lines between songs was blurred and the amount of sweat pouring off the band was a sign that something special was happening. As I looked around the room there were fists in the air and lips moving to the lyrics. What more could you ask for. Well done boys! A band that plays for the song and for the people who want to come along.
