Broken Social Scene and their opening act, Telegraph Canyon, broke my Dallas concert cherry with style, showmanship and two fantastic setlists. I bought one of TC's albums after BSS ended with "It's All Gonna Break" and headed to Houston to see BSS again at the Free Press Summer Fest the next night. The Palladium was a fantastic venue - very cool exterior and interior. Well lit - fantastic lighting and technical stuffs. Great sound. The band played a great long set, and I would recommend both of these bands and The Palladium to anyone looking for a great show.
The best part of my weekend!

The BSS show in Dallas was fantastic!! A make-good show for them from January, you could tell they wanted to bring it and show the Dallas fans some love. They opened with "Lover's Spit," a fan faborite for sure. After that they steadily went into "Fire Eye'd Boy" into "7/4 Shoreline" without missing a beat.
The sound was great! Whomever was running the board knew BSS entirely and knew how to make the show an experience!!! Songs would start with Kevin, Brendan, Justin and one more guitar and grow to 12-13 people on stage.
Kevin mentioned they had the horn section from the Polyphonic Spree with them...cool for any Dallas-ite. All in all, the show was phenomenal. BSS brought it and was not going to leave without making sure the Dallas fans knew we were still loved.
Now the question is...will they ever come back again????

I've never felt this way at a concert before, I had a sense of euphoria like I've been touched by God or something. It was seriously one of the best concerts ever, also because my shortness wasn't covered by a hoard of tall people. But I could honestly say, anyone who hasn't seen Broken Social Scene live hasn't lived yet.
