Location:San Bernardino, CA
This was a pretty cool experience, this event is hosted by students not that great in organization but once your inside, it makes up for that. They have local vendors selling clothes, food, artwork, etc. This event is on campus which means you cannot drink. You can bring in your own food/blankets just in case you don't want to purchase the food inside (which was not that cheap). The performers were great and the atmosphere is varied in generation/ages.

We had a great day at the UCLA Reggae fest. My husband and I seen all the performer that we like. We had a wonderful day with family and friends. Would do it again in a heart beat.

Shaggy got on stage and started singing cover songs. He stopped singing a few times and had the MC come out and try to rev up the crowd. Uh, dude, this is a reggae festival, not a rave. He essentially refused to perform unless the audience performed with him. He's the performer, am I wrong? He is a sham and nothing more than an ego looking for attention. Literally, "How much do you love SHAGGY?!!" I thought it was a joke.
I left after half an hour of him and the MC prodding the audience to sing along to Alicia Keys and other partyup songs. Pathetic.
I enjoyed the rest of the artists and had a great time both days--however, the fact that Shaggy was a headliner is just ...well, it makes me cringe. His paycheck ought to be donated. He sure as hell didn't earn it.

The concert overall was nice. It sucked that they would not allow lawn chairs. All the acts were good.

The Roots was the only act worth seeing, & I was there both days. Not as many vendors as usual, either. Furthermore, the prices for some of the food was ridiculous...especially for food that wasn't fresh. Guess you win some & you lose some - this year definitely was a loss!

I hate LA... and I mean I HATE LA with a passion, so driving up from San Diego to go to Reggae day once a year is ALWAYS worth it! Great acts, amazing food, one of a kind vendors! My annual trip to LA has and will always be the UCLA Reggae Fest!

I took the family to see Don Carlos and it was awesome. He was having a great time, and it showed. The whole Festival was great. Easy to get in and out. Parking was close. Plenty of space inside the venue. Wide selection of things to eat. Very well organized. Highly recommend to people who want to chill in the sun and groove, or to those, like me, who want their kids to enjoy the concert experience.

I do beleif that the proffesionalism, and the vibe and freindliness of the people made the concert be a huge sucess. loved every minute of it. OH! Shaggy was Great and entertaining..funny.

Excellent lineup, would definitely go again! The Roots gave an awesome performance. I have never seen them perform live, but I was incredibly impressed, they shut it down! I gotta go to the Roots Picnic one day. But for now, the UCLA Jazz Reggae Festival will do just fine! Great performances from all the acts, great environment and lots of food vendors on-site to buy food. They also provided free water refills (thank goodness) and there were booths to buy merchandise. If you go, I suggest bringing blankets as you will be sitting on the grass, and sunscreen of course! If you have a chance to go, do it!

THE JAZZ REGGAE FEST, WAS REALLY WONDERFUL, LOTS TO EAT, PLENTY OF VENDORS TO PURCHASE CULTURAL SOUVENIRS FROM, AND NOT TO MENTION THE ARTISTS. I REALLY ENJOYED THE SHOW.
