Genius! I have been listening to Patton CDs for years and it was fantastic seeing him live. He is extremely witty and has wonderful energy. I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe! Bravo! Can't wait til he comes to NY again

Patton Oswalt reeled on the stage for nearly 2 hours, keeping up a steady stream of 50-cent vocab-laden vignettes, each punctuated by no less than a dozen hysterical interjections and side bars, always managing to keep on point. He never said um, hmm, or uh. That's talent. Spiked with political agenda, breeder perspective and religious commentary, he never let the crowd get bored. Woot, I say, woot!

Patton Oswalt has a brilliant way of blending his creative imagination with everyday situations and past experiences to create amazing humor! Definitely a must see if he is in your area! Otherwise, catch one of his specials on Comedy Central or DVD.

Patton is a thinking person's comic. His abilities and talents w/ the English language are what a musical instrument is to an accomplished musician. His observations are spot on and you can relate to what drives him nuts. Only he says it better!

Saw Patton as part of the NY Comedy Festival - he was hilarious, touching on topics such as his insanity caused be being a new father, religion, Christmas songs and more. There were several portions of his routine that had me tearing up from laughing so hard. This was the first time I've ever seen his standup and I will definitely be looking for more. His delivery is great - he manages to pull of the art of the rant without making it overly bitter and the expletives complement the performance rather than dominate it.

Patton was great- he took the stage for nearly 2 hours, which is unbelievable for a stand up comedian. He did stuff off of his latest album, but also some new stuff so it was really great- heard some favorite stand bys that any fan would know, as well as new jokes. Seating is terrible- too close together, and it was hot as hell, but the performance made it worth it.

Loved the show from start to finish but I like Patton's comedy.
The middle act was OK, and the opener was great but Patton was off the wall great.
I will be getting tickets next year when the festival comes again for more acts

Only about 1/2 his jokes were funny...his take on religion and a few jokes about former President Bush. The rest were pretty bland and not real funny. Did a bit about sweat pants and getting a ticket...totally lame. I think he wants us to use our imagination way too much as he goes into detail about events and descriptions that are just not that humorous. I was still waiting for the punchline that never came.

I got these tickets as a birthday present for my fiance and we were not disappointed. We literally laughed the entire time. We hope to see him again the next time he's in NY.

I would have enjoyed the event more if I didn't listen to his album on the way to the venue. Because of this, I knew half of his material so it wasn't as funny to me as it would have been when I had listened to it the first time. When he ended the show with same joke he ended on his most recent album I felt a little cheated, so the encore story about a Christmas song by a group called Newsong was a pleasant surprise and redeemed the value I spent on the ticket to me. I know this may be silly to anyone else, but unlike musicians, whenever I go see a comedian live I'm expecting totally new material and not stuff that's already been put in an album for posterity. This was the first time that I saw a comedian and he was doing stuff from an album that I currently owned so that's probably another reason that this wsan't so appealing an experience to me. I guess I've been spoiled as a standup fan. Take my review for what it is.

There are so many things one could say about the performance of Patton Oswalt but what it all boils down to is he's the guy you want to tell you a story because he tells it the best. He isn't vindictive. He isn't mean. He's brutally honest but fair to all humankind...plus he doesn't let himself off the hook.
It doesn't feel like an act. Ever. He winds up being the guy you hope you meet in the kitchen at a party who weaves a great tale but not for the ego or the power but because he knows that's his gift. The best things is he doesn't rest on those laurels. he continues to polish and work hard to see where his talent can go.
David Cross, Brian Posehn, Zach Galifinakis, Sarah Silverman etc....these performers remind us what a beautiful,simple and powerful art form comedy can be.

What really amazed me about Mr. Oswalt's performance is the ratio of new material to old. His last album just hit stores three months ago and most of his material was brand new. Not only that, but his new material was hilarious. He was very gracious, doing an older bit of material at the request of one of the audience members he was bantering with.

His opening acts were mixed. The second comedian was average, definitely not deserving of opening such a headliner. The first act was amazing though. I hope to see her as a headliner one day.

This review will be a little bit bias. I love Patton Oswalt, he is by far my favorite comedian. The opening acts were funny as well. What I really enjoyed was that there was new material I hadn't heard before along with bits I had already heard from his recorded sets. However, the "old" material was just as funny as the first time I had heard it. Long live Patton!

The Three Comedians of the evening:
Morgan Murphy opened for the evening and was not disappointing. I laughed through the entirety of her act. I will be looking for more events of hers in NYC

To be honest with you the second act was fairly unimpressive and I am having trouble remembering his name.

Patton Oswalt was of course sidesplitting. A nice mixture of his usual act with jokes I haven't heard before. I will continue to follow his career and hopefully see him in NY again soon.
