The show was entertaining from start to finish! The stage and surrounding areas were filled with eye catching decor and the actors were unbelievable - the actors talent was second to none. From fast pace and funny to heartfelt songs, the show kept your attention and left you wanting just one more song...

I saw Pump Boys and Dinettes on its FIRST RUN at the UPTOWN "7" times. One night I was so sick at half time, and, I said "I can make it"......well I almost didn't for I had an allergic reaction to asperin and waited intirely too long to go to emergency!!! But, I was okay in a few days and I could just say one thing...IT WAS WORTH STAYING FOR and I CANNOT WAIT till May to see it for the "9th" time and bring my husband so He will see it. I had gone the other times with my late husband and he loved it so much he got a Moon Pie and was so lucky to get Maureen Collins to sit on his lap for the Moon Pie. He always remembered that :)
This show is funny, original and the cast is super-fantastic, handsome men and beautiful woman---100 percent the best thing to ever happen to my old hometown of Youngstown. Love you guys.

Favorite moment: I liked the scene between the dinette and the piano player. The dinettes also went into the audience during their tips song. @

The show was uplifting and memorable. The actors had wonderful voices. There was great humor and the set was very accurate of the time period. We were delighted with our choice and had wonderful seats.

Pump Boys is not the most arousing musical. Although the talent was good, the show itself is old and a retread of what was once a new musical. It seemed very dated, and had no humor.

It was a bit hokey but amusing for the nostalgia. The songs were cleaver. The music and skits were very good. I went to the matinee expecting many of the understudies to fill in. The full cast except for one under study, who was great. Everyone poured the hearts into the play.

We had a blast! What a great show. What a great cast. It was most enjoyable and we really loved the interaction with the audience. The music was delightful. The performers were more than delightfully talented. I have a special needs sister and the performers were especially attentive to her and she loved it. They even posed for a picture with her. We recommend this show to everyone who wants to have an uplifiting experience.

The play is awesome! The cast is very talented and robust. The set is as much fun as supportive of the simple story centered around 6 people, a gas station and a dinette. The songs are about different aspects their lives. The 2 females are very strong singers and fun. The 4 males are entertaining and have good talent. ...the tunes are good. The theatre is a great value and small so every seat is fine. Enjoy!

We totally enjoyed the dinner and play at the Drury Lane Oakbrook. For the additional cost, the dinner is very good and a beautiful setting with great service. The play was excellent! Pump Boys and Dinettes is such a fun musical and the entire cast was very talented and looked like they were having a blast. I got our tickets just a couple of weeks before we went and we had great seats.

I've seen this show several times before back in the '80s when it was the longest running musical in Chicago at the Apollo Theater. It was just as great now as it was then. I was delighted to learn the director of this production was one of the original Chicago actors (Shawn Stengel). The cast was superb! Brilliant voices and harmonies! Great ensemble performaces by everyone! As musicians, they were simply top-notch - from the piano to the guitar, violin, bass, accordian and the "home-made" percussion instruments - i.e., pots and pans and wooden spoons. We were really impressed with the energy level of the entire cast throughout the entire show. They didn't miss a beat! Great interaction with the audience. Funny, touching, toe-tapping throughout! We really enjoyed ourselves and left the theatre in a great mood! Found myself singing some of the songs the next day! Don't miss this show!

A whole lot of talent on the stage. The ensemble not only had the aptitude to play a variety of musical instruments, but also had the vocals to belt out fantastic music. The outing was much fun, would definately do it again!

I had no idea what to expect as I had never seen a production at the Drury Lane nor had I ever heard of Pump Boys and the Dinettes.

We have seen Pump Boys at various theatres at least 13 times. Every show is different. The set for this production was outstanding. I loved the truck!! Several actors ( musicians) were great- LM could really tickle the ivories- Rhetta was cute as pie and so much energy from everyone on that stage.
At the Sunday afternoon matinee( for the obviously geriatric generation) the strap on Jiim's guitar broke. It seemed to take him out of character for a few minutes, as they were catching their breath after the high powered rendition of " Mona. Mona,Mona".
The show is a combination of rock, gospel, and country music with some dialog between songs. Some songs, like Mamaw, need to be heard more than once as there is so much meaning to the lyrics.
