The show was amazing! The opening comedian, Ted Alexandro, was really funny. And Jim Gaffigan was his usual hilarious self. I went with my Mom and we were both in tears from laughing so hard.
The only thing that could've made the experience better would've been more interest from the crowd. The theater seemed to be sold out, yet by the end of the show the audience was in such a hurry to leave that the encore didn't even happen. Mr. Gaffigan left the stage after a brief 'goodnight' and the lights went out. People applauded but many rushed for the doors, even after the spotlight re-illuminated the mic, obviously indicating the intent of an encore. And yet the applause steadily dwindled and the people continued toward the doors as if they'd had enough. It was an unfortunate end to an otherwise excellent night, and I hope that Mr. Gaffigan wasn't offended by the lame crowd, although I can't imagine how he wouldn't have been.

Jim Gaffigan gave a stellar performance. He is so well spoken in front of a crowd and knows his material well. He is hilarious and is a gifted comedian and entertainer. Anyone who thinks he is funny would be benefited in a positive way by attending a Jim Gaffigan performance. It is wonderful to have people like this to help make life more interesting, to make fun of life circumstances in a non vulgar way, and to help provide distractions from all of the crazy stuff that life has in store.

We drove from the tacoma area to portland. This was well worth the drive. Jim Gaffigan is non-stop hilarious. Even if you have seen his stuff on TV , he is worth seeing live.

Non-stop laughter from beginning to end. In fact laughed so hard that had to force myself to take a breath! I was in pain afterwards, but a really good pain. Jim was worth every penny and I would see him again and again!

Jim Gaffigan was hysterical! My boyfriend and I had been to comedy shows before and were apprehensive because of bad experiences in the past. We were pleasantly surprised! We laughed most of the show and found Jim's jokes refreshing and very entertaining.
Would definitely see Jim Gaffigan again. Great show & experience!

I have only ever seen Jim Gaffigan on TV and seeing him in person was even better than I hoped! After the show, so many events in my life now happen with Jim Gaffigan jokes narrating the scene in the background making me smile. Every time I go to the movies and people in front of me comment on the previews I cant help laughing! Oh Jim!

Unless you have had cancer, Jim, I think you should refrain from trying to get a laugh from, cancer. Unless you have survived the nightmare, I don't think you can joke about it. I sat with my boyfriend, a cancer survivor, and still struggling with it...I was mortified for him. I know he enjoyed your show, up to the cancer spiel.

The show started 10mins late, with a average opener. I was surprised he had an opener who swore and did some adult content when Jim is pretty clean- as evident by the families with young kids in the audience. After about 20mins Jim came onstage and did a great show. But one hour later he was done- not even an encore- and the lights came on. This was a big disappointment.

Jim Gaffigan is one of only (3) Clean comedians that I go to see.
In the past he has used other comedians to open his show for him, which fine but
they also used clean language. This time at the Chicago Theater on 04/20/2013.
Jim used this person Hannibal to open his show. I did not like his language and content of his materiel.
His excuse of using that language in front of children " Oh! they will hear it on the internet anyway" is just an excuse not to be creative enough not to use profanity in his act. I really don't think Jim would let Hannibal use that type of language around his (5) children.

I had high expectations coming to the show and Gaffigan did not let me down. I couldn't take a sip of my beer throughout the whole show because I was laughing so hard. I can't wait to see him again.

Gaffigan did not disappoint and blended in some old standards (Hot Pocket, Subway, Waffle House bits) with some new material. Opening act was pretty good, too.
