Being that it was Mexican Independence weekend we decided to attend this Mariachi Festival in Las Vegas. We were expecting happy, fast-paced, traditional Mariachi songs along with flklorico dancers etc, etc, etc... Unfortunately this show was actually putting us to sleep on the first half. It was nice and the Mariachis had a lot of talent but their songs were way to mellow and at sometimes boring. I would have loved to see a more upbeat show since it is Vegas and Mexican Independence day was being celebrated.

Sorry, not being Spanish speaking didn't help having to sit over three hours through mariachi music until the main attraction, Vikki Car. She came on speaking and singing in Spanish, not that I expected her to do differently. After awhile, the performers all began to sound the same, but they were not short of amazing by playing on stage with no music and able to play/sound perfectly.
