First of all, The Grove of Anaheim is an amazing venue to attend a concert at. I love the tiered sections of the audience and how you don't have to be close to anyone if you don't want to. Be honest, people. You've had some smelly armpit in your face or that tall guy who just doesn't care that his enormous head blocks your entire view of the show. The tiered levels and the wide open space makes this venue very accommodating.
Parachute was great; they really pumped up the crowd and got the blood flowing. Will Anderson, the lead singer, even jumped down from the stage and ran through the crowd singing one of their songs.
Boys Like Girls were next and like they said, "They're back, baby!" BLG have been absent from touring lately, working on their new album coming out in a month or so. They brought sexy back with hits from all of their albums as well as introducing new stuff. They brought a fan onstage who claimed he was the "Life of the Party" (one of their song titles), and he danced on stage as the band played. Another female fan was brought onstage to sing Taylor Swift's part of "Two is Better Than One". This girl looked like she was going to faint as Martin Johnson, lead singer of Boys Like Girls, talked to her. Good thing they brought her out a chair.
All-American Rejects were the headlining act. They started out slow, but the show definitely picked up, bringing back songs from all of their different albums from the past 10 years. During a break in the set, Tyson shared the story of how "Swing, Swing" became a song of theirs, and it's not as metaphorical as you may think.
Overall the show was pretty amazing and kept me entertained from start to finish. I definitely recommend this show!
