NSSN 2011 turned into one of the best renewals ever. The show began at 6pm with an upstart band YOUNG THE GIANT living up to the hype....they are GOOD! Followed by an energetic performance by BUSH....every member of this band is good....GAVIN maneuvered through the arena audience at one point....FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE....WOW! Is she an interesting performer....beautifully staged....band up band and singers...Phenomenal!!! ...MUMFORD AND SONS....after being somewhat disappointed seeing them in Denver...they really starred at this year's BRIDGE SCHOOL and had 20,000 singing along....now at NSSN they literally had the entire arena dancing and singing....finally...when JANE'S ADDICTION had to cancel late...LIVE 105 scrambled to get a replacement and found GREEN DAY willing to show up. GREEN DAY seemed to have the time of their lives entertaining a thrilled arena crowd....energetic....on Tres Cool's birthday...they played old stuff...some cover stuff...and fully engaged everyone. I could say GREEN DAY stole the show....and they really did end the show on a high note...but I have to say all the preceding bands were great. NSSN 2011 will be hard to top.

I had no idea this show would turn out so great. I went with the sole purpose of seeing Jack White and having a good time. Both were accomplished, as well as being totally surprised by how good all the other bands were. Great stage performances as well as the crowd reactions. At first the crowd was few and far between but as the night went on the more and more people filled in. Before I knew it I looked around and was amazed by the turnout. The only bummer I had was that had floor tickets and since the show was long I had been standing for about 5 hours. I really hope to go to something like this again. Great venue, good people all enjoying fantasy music. Really, really fun time.

I thoroughly enjoyed the concert. I wanted in line for about 4.5 hours in hopes of getting to the very front. However due to the security setup people who were far behind me were able to get through before me. That was quite disappointing. I recommend having only 1 or 2 security lines. It may slow things down a bit, but it will enforce the "first come first serve" rule. I also recommend less time between sets. 20-30 minutes is WAY too long to wait. Especially on the floor area. Fights begin to occur during this time.

Night One:
I missed the opener (Our Vinyl Vows) because I was running late. Two Door Cinema Club was awesome. I maybe have hear one of their songs prior to this night; but now I can say I'm definitely a fan!
The Gaslight Anthem was pretty cool. Unfortunately the sound was a little reverb-y so some of their songs sounded not so great.
Of Monsters and Men was fantastic!!! Really wish I could have seen an entire concert of just them! The sound was great. I danced my butt off! They really are a well composed and talented group!
Metric was completely awesome! Even though they didn't have their equipment, they rocked their acoustic set! She really has a beautiful voice!
The Shins were magical in their sound and presentation.
Mr. Jack White! ... What else can I say, I'm in love with him! He played a little bit of everything from the White Stripes, The Raconteurs and his solo music. I sang and danced and was completely happy with his set list!
Night two:
Again I missed the opening act (Jingle Punx).
Imagine Dragons has such great energy! Loved their "drum" circle!
Grouplove! Ah, I wish I got a whole concert of just them as well! I loved their cover of "Dance with Somebody". I danced their entire set! Fun energy and excitement from them!
Tegan and Sara are just beautiful! Great voices and sound. Was a little disappointed that they didn't play the songs I wished they'd play, but I at least got a couple songs that I love.
I wasn't really feeling Passion Pit. I don't really know their music and nothing especially stood out for me. The sound was full of reverb which didn't help.
I only know M83 from a few songs on the radio. I definitely have respect for them and what they produce!
The Killers rocked it out of the arena! Most of their songs were a bit commercial, but fun to dance to. Loved that they ended with "All These Things that I've Done"!
All in all, it was a great weekend full of phenomenal acts & music!!!!

The line up for NSSN was strange to say the least! The sound quality sucked for all of the bands except for Jack White! Was a sound check done for them??? Metric didn't have their musical instruments? I was seriously under whelmed, can I get a partial refund?
I had reserved seating & there were a few empty seats in the row before me. A variety of different interloper kept trying to take possession of the seats till security would chase them off. They were followed by a new strain of discourteous concert goers. They doubled up sitting on eachothers laps blocking my view. Security chased them off & then they came back! Then a female security person started visiting with these people! They were leaning across the row blocking my view! I have a new opinion about the Oracle & it's not good!
Jack White was amazing!!! Everything else sucked! $35.00 for parking sucks! Will I ever go back to the Oracle? Not without hesitation!

I definitely got my moneys worth for a GA floor ticket. It was simply amazing. they didn't take too long between sets to set up. The light show was AMAZING -- when I say amazing... i mean one of the best light shows ever. The bands were really really great live. It was an awesome night. 6 hour concert! The sound was great and the atmosphere was great as well. I feel super lucky to have seen all these great bands at one place on the same night!

Why would you have 2 door cinema club play first?? They're frigin amazing and I believe a more recognizable band than gas light. So I feel the order sucked in this aspect. Mr white is worth the wait. And the shins were captivating. I'm also a new fan of of monsters and men. Over all great line up. I'm so pissed though that I purchased my seats two weeks before my daughter with the best seating chart and my daughter got better seats a week later using the best seat available selection. The same thing I did. These seats I took from my daughter.

the. best. concert. i've been to. ever. the killers shouldn't have headlined, but they were still super cool. freaking imagine dragons started early tho :(

I loved imagine dragons, loveddd group love and the killers but not so much of the other bands. Had like 5 30 minute long intermissions and kinda long. Overall it was fun and awesome.

The Killers are entirely worth seeing live. Brandon Flowers enjoys performing and gets the crowd involved and into the songs. M83 is really good as well, but you can easily fall asleep if you aren't in the standing section. Everyone else did a great job. I'm glad I went and would consider going again.

This was my second NSSN event and will not be my last. I liked that I can see about 5 popular bands in one venue.......it is like being on a cruise with multiple ports of call. The bands are roughly the same genre but different in artistry and energy which I appreciated a lot. This year, I did have a very difficult time choosing which night based on the line-up because my favorites were on both nights. The decision was made based on the complexity of Friday's schedule so we saw Saturday night NSSN. I was impressed with the efficiency of stage crews changing sets between bands. I wish that I had information on the line-up order and time each band is chalked in to start. I missed Imagine Dragons while getting in and finding seating section.....etc and am real disappointed about that.
Great facilities, surprisingly good acustics for an arena, The last band to play both years cranked the sound to the max and I sometimes didn't realize that I knew the song until the middle due to some overload distortion. I enjoyed seeing some of the radio DJs from Live 105 and it's great to put a face to the voices I hear on the air. I am still smiling from my recent NSSN experience.
