The concert was superb and the acoustics were wonderful at Disney Concert Hall. It was so great to hear the individual lines of the strings, so distinct and beautiful. Josh was fantastic, as were the orchestra and guest students from LACHSA. I was a little disappointed that they did not video the concert to sell DVDs and raise more money for these organizations. Also, since they did not do that, I was a little miffed that they were so obsessed with not letting us record. When we saw him at another venue last year, almost everyone was recording, and nobody seemed to be too worried about it. That allows us to keep the moments as something personal, and also seems like good advertising. It did seem like the concert was mostly the same as his most recent tour concert, but seemed to be a bit shorter. It went by too fast. Also would like to have heard a couple of duets - "In the Arms of the Angel" and the full "The Prayer" - would need to have a female to perform with, but I am sure there would have been someone available to help out in or around the LA area. Also wanted to hear "The War at Home," which he did not do.
