Amazing performance with lots of energy and passion. The best performance I've seen in a while truly inspiring. I would love to see more dance performances of this caliber come to Columbus!

It was everything I expected. Love the dancers and the music. So much to see on stage at once I didn't know who to watch it was so good. I expecially loved the solo male dance performances, they were hypnotic. Loved everything about the entire show. Hope we always sell out for Ailey.

The dancers were outstanding. The venue was perfect, look forward to Alvin Ailey dancers return. The energy level in the Riffe was electric!!

I surprised my wife with tickets to this show. She loved it - and so did I! Each of the dancers are very talented. The effort they put into every move, every step, shows the amount of heart and dedication they have to their craft.

I have had the great good fortune to see Alvin Ailey Dance Company under the direction of Alvin Ailey, and Judith Jamison. Ailey II under Robert Battle was a brilliant fusion of new pieces and standards from the Ailey repertoire. The grace, strength and beauty of these dance athletes must be seen to be believed. There were times when you could have heard a pin drop during the beautifully executed choreography, and the audience held its collective breath only to explode in applause.

I had no idea what to expect other than the box office telling me it was a coup to get this troup to perform here and what little I could find on Youtube. These dancers are phenomenal in their skills and enjoyment of what they do. There were several choreographers and they all should be commended. It was more of a modern dance event and not traditional ballet and I would go see them again in a minute. You will not be disappointed.

The performance of Ailey II was so amazing. The dancers reached out to you with their soulful performance and displayed passion in their talent that I have not encountered in a performance in a long time. I was moved with emotion during the performance. To be moved by emotion by another's talent is rare. May God Bless these dancers as they continue to share this beautiful ballet with other cities.

Truly an inspirational night of great music and movement. I have seen Ailey performances for 20 years and Ailey II in Kansas City was the best experience to date. The two new dances just out in 2012 were immediate favorites and will be memorable as Revelation in years to come. Thank you dancers. Love, Love, Loved it.

The dancers were strong, graceful, fluid and had incredible balance. Sometimes they were out-of-sync, including the opening movement of the first dance. After that, it was hard not to notice any out-of-sync situations. The music was a little bit too loud. To be honest, sometimes it made me wince. The broken glass sounds and the techno flavor of the music were not my style. The correography was very good.
The third dance was my favorite.

We really enjoyed the Ailey II performance this past Sunday. Both of us are choreographers and dancers, so seeing the material fresh on stage was great. I had not seen Revelation in many, many years. The young performers were dynamic, energetic and powerful. Sometimes, their energy caused the technique to be compromised, but they are a young company---that will happen.
The only bothersome bit was the final curtain call. It was sort of a gratuitous quadruple curtain call done two times. It was done 4 times, then a reprise was danced, then done 4 more times. Just wasn't warranted 8 times for curtain call. People were beginning to sit down and gather their belongings when it would start again. Just seemed as if it were begging for the curtain call. Started to feel really awkward.

This was a wonderful performance ... We look forward to their yearly visit to Kansas City. It is a spectacular evening and worth every penny. Looking forward to seeing them in the new venue in 2011.
