This show was by far one of the best shows I have ever seen! I have never felt surrounded by so much talent in my life...what an amazing performance by some of the OG performers...FANTASTIC! Such talent, such class, such charisma, such wonder...abosolutely amazing!!

I saw RENT way back in 1999, I believe it was (maybe 2000?) in Central Florida. I was 14 or 15 and my bf and I were the youngest people there. We had NO idea what it was about, just that my mom's friend worked at the theater and got us free 4th row tickets.
Older people were obviously offended and left the theater before intermission! We LOVED it - even if we didn't fully understand ALL of it. I bought a shirt and wore it to school the very next day. Everyone made jokes... " Oh, you're for Rent now?" I rolled my eyes. I told my bf I wished there was a movie so we could watch it all the time. The songs are so catchy! Fastforward just a couple of years, and BOOM out comes a movie!! I was happy, BUT now all the people who made fun of my shirt were "fans", singing the songs all over... I think it got too big when the movie came out. But of course I bought it and loved it. I still watch it occassionally and listen to the soundtrack regularly in my car.
Anyway, got off track but what I am saying is RENT is timeless. I wish it would come back... preferably with Rapp & Pascal ... *swoon* Alas, it may never be :(

This was the first broadway show i was introduced to and by far I believe this is going to be one of my all time favorites. The voices were amazing and I believe this musical has opened up my eyes to a new world of entertainment. I cannot wait to see this again hopefully it will come back to orlando soon.

Really great show! Very impressive! This was my first time seeing a production from ISU students but it will not be my last! We had a really great time, the cast was amazing! A big shout out to Jonathan Brugioni, as well as the other two former Ankeny High School students! You were awesome!

I think the talent was good enough and the energy was high but the story line did not move me. A couple of good songs and a lot of mediocre ones. This play did not make me laugh much, it didn't make me cry and it didn't make me feel good. When it was over, I just wanted to leave. It didn't spark a conversation where you recap some of the great parts with the person you went with which always has happened with every other musical I've been to.

For a college production it was very good. We were expecting a lot less since we had seen the show a combined 17 times either on broadway or by national tours. Great job by the characters. Angel wasn't what I had hoped for and a bit of a letdown for me. Too many chorus members too. But all in all a good production The mics needed to be turned up too on the vocals. The band overpowered them almost the whole show.

The voices were uniformly strong, and the staging was excellent. Having the band on the stage behind the performers made the sound more critical at various junctures, and the amplification system did not always catch up. At a few points, the first notes were missed. The Mark, Roger and Tom performances were excellent and provided a very real depth to the characters. A very good ensemble cast.

The box theatre presented a wonderful version of Rent. A white Tom Collins, a blue haired Roger and a tiny but tough Joann. Beautiful voices and tons of energy .
