This show was great. i tend to go to a little more heavy variety of show, but this show was great. I have seen Dredg twice and they haven't disappointed me either time. They played a lot of old songs with some new material. But the thing that I enjoyed the most was the creative transition into the last song. The stage crew literally dismantled the drum set while the drummer was still playing. When they pulled is snair he turned to the side and started immediately playing the keyboard as his portion of the last song of the night. The RX Bandits also brought some creativity to the show with the entire band playing a drum solo together.

Dredg was on point. Best show I have ever seen them play by far. They played a good mix of songs from the new album, as well as older songs like Bug Eyes and Zebraskin. This is not unexpected as I have seen them before in various venues around Oregon. However RX Bandits were very good as well. They have a Sublime-ish sound but are very clean and polished sounding. Overall, I would give the show 5 stars.

it's too bad so few people dare to stray beyond what's played on mainstream radio. dredg is an amazing band and their live performance was everything i could have wanted it to be. instead of being confined to a definable genre or conforming to routine song arrangements they explore various tempos and styles throughout individual songs. this is one of their greatest strengths but also why they don't tend to write "catchy" songs... i consider myself a pretty big fan and will concede that some of their arrangements are lost on me but given the energy and fervor of the live show i found myself getting into the few songs i tend to skip while listening to their albums... and the songs i already loved just blew my mind! the only disappointment from the show was that their set didn't include "mourning the morning" from their new album and my girlfriend really wanted to hear it

As tall as lions had great energy for such a short set, but it was Rx bandits who really rocked out and reached out to the crowd for crowd involvement. They are amazing musicians who can play anything they made in the studio perfect live. Dredg on the other hand was less than impressive, their older shows were much better. Just being real.

I was really surprised by As Tall as Lions. They were the opener and they played about 5 songs. I really got into at the end. The trumpet player even came down after one song and my friend started talking to him, they seem like nice guys. But the show was all about the Bandits for me. Once they started playing my feet wouldn't stop moving. I absolutely love their jams. Mientras La Veo Soñar and Bring our Children Home was just plain sick. I was grooving like there was no tomorrow. I love the Bandits.

RX Bandits were absolutely amazing; the venue was superb and they put on a dynamic show. Unfortunately, they're the OPENER for Dredg, and judging by what I saw, it should have been the other way around. The crowd thinned by 50% after RX was done, and their short set with no encore was disappointing. RX should lose Dredg and tour solo; I would have paid more for a show without Dredg.

We unfortunately arrived a bit late and missed a bit of Zechs Maruise's set (the opening band that we actually went for), but the bit we did catch was amazing. Especially during the last song (I don't remember which one); they brought out the guitarist/lead-singer from Rx Bandits, Matt Embree, to play along with them. The result was a mind blowing guitar call-and-response between Matt and Marcos Smith (the guitarist from Zechs). I met the band after and got their autographs and all that groupie nonsense that I can't help. They were incredibly easy-going and what-not. Soon after, Rx took the stage and began the royal ass-kicking. I wasn't exactly too familiar with their songs as I could've been, but that did not stop me from enjoying the show at all. The highlight of their overall performance was Matt Embree; he is sincerely the most "down-to-earth" person I've ever observed. He dedicated a certain song to his mother (who was standing stage-side and looked as proud as any mother could ever look). He also was wearing a waist accessory that I don't know the name of but it was for a world-wide organization, whose name or purpose i cannot remember. During their last song, titled "Only For The Night" off the album "...And the Battle Begun", they brought out Marcel Rodriguez-Lopez (the drummer from Zechs Marquise and percussionist/multi-instrumentalist for The Mars Volta) for a sick ass drumming session between himself, Rx drummer Christopher Tsagakis and Rx guitarist/keyboardist (more like multi-instrumentalist) Steve Choi. The result was incredible, to say the least.
We skipped Dredg.

RX Bandits are more/less the only band I'll actually pay money to see live anymore. We showed up for them, and left right after their set. Dredg might have been good, but we felt like we didn't want anything to disturb our RX experience.
See them when you can. So good. Just to give you an idea, they opened their set with all four members playing the drums.

The Rx Bandits again played another amazing live show. Unfortunately, we missed half of their set because the box office assured us that they were going on no earlier than 10pm, when in reality they went on at 9! So disappointed.

I came to see Dredg because I've been following them through their albums the past 10 years. However, in the midst of the mind melting music, the RXB fans were truly disrespectful. Chanting "RXB!" between songs, laughs and jokes ensued and at one point a t-shirt was thrown on stage that had something written on it, as the lead singer put it, "rude."
I understand that this House of Blues show was opened to 16+ but even still, fans need to respect the band that opens for their favorite bands. There needs to be a resurgence of common decency when it comes to club shows, amphitheaters and the like... We all come to these shows to enjoy the music, the drink and hopefully even a little dance. If we can't reciprocate the art these incredible musicians create, with respect and love -- then maybe we don't deserve the experience.
As the HOB so aptly states, "All are one."
Let's act like it.
