Favorite moment: During Dondante when I turned around and realized that I was not the only person crying. @
Setlist: One Big Holiday, Gideon, It Beats 4 U, Way He Sings, Off the Record, Touch Me Pt. 1, Golden, Carried Away, I'm Amazed, Losin' Yo Head, Lay Low, Anytime, Friends Again, Wonderful, Thank You Too, Dondante, Smokin' From Shootin' --> (End of) Run Thru) --> Touch Me Pt. 2, Wordless, Evil Urges, Highly Suspicious, Move On Up, Mother In Law, Carnival Time @
Opening act(s): Preservation Hall Jazz Band @
This band rocked like nothing I have ever seen before. They opened with "One Big Holiday", and ever after that point the show was pure euphoria. This was the best show I have ever attended, and every time the band comes within an 8 hour drive I will most definitely attend. Jim James has the riffs of Robert Plant, the stage presence of James Brown, and the voice of an Angel. Watching Patrick Hallahan bang the drums is more fun than a trip to Six Flags. "Two Tone Tommy" is my new favorite bassist, and I don't believe Carl Broemel missed a single note the entire show. Anyone considering this band live should do everything in their abilities to do so, and seeing MMJ is something that should be on everyone's bucket list.
