I took my 3 year old daughter and 5 year old neice to see the show and they just had a ball! What a beautiful show. The events for the kids before the show were great too!!

I took my grandaughters, ages 5 and 13. The 5 year old loved the before events with taking pictures and Cinderelles closet. The 13 year old enjoyed the show, where the 5 year old of course was a bit bored. I think if it's going to be geared toward younger kids it needs to be more interactive, otherwise it's really more appropriate for the 10 and above age group. I enjoyed it and love the costumes!!

I purchased front row "Cinderella" seating for myself, adult daughter, friend and 3 little girls 7 and under. VERY misleading. GREAT disappointment!

Being a novice ballet enthusiast, my family and I really enjoyed this performance!!! The theatre was amazing!!! I love those "old school" theatres. They totally set the mood for the classic ballets. I loved the fact that the lead performers (Cinderella and Prince Charming) stayed and took pictures and autographs!! If I ever see them in town again, I will totally and completely see them again!!!!! LOVE!

This is a very small Russian ballet company, but I believe that they can be compared favorably with the best of the world-class ballet companies. Yulia Nepomniashchaya (say that three timnes fast) is absolutely amazing. When she performs the fouettes in the ballet (and she performed 32 of them in "Swan Lake"), her foot seems screwed into the floor as she never moves. EVERY other ballerina that I have seen live and on DVD move, and sometimes wander all over the stage.
Obviously they cannot fill the stage with dancers as they are a small company, but they dance to beautiful and faithful choreographic versions that are made for smaller companies. I have met with some of the dancers after their performances, and they are absolutely delightful people. They want so much to dance well and also to befriend the enthusiasts of a country so far from theirs. I love them and will attend their performances every time they come to the United States (I have seen them for the past three years).
Please attend their performances. You will have a very memorable experience.

I would definitely recommend this event because it was done very nicely and all the promps and costumes were beautiful! I came with my sister and her 2 yr old for her first ballet and she was just watching with such intensity that I just wanted to cry as I watched her get so into the story and of course the beautiful and colorful costumes were a great hit with her. The theatre (even though a bit far from where I live) was just beautiful and very clean.

We took our Granddaughter - her first ballet - she was in awe - nice show. very nice for the Rialto Theater . I would reccomend it to anyone and would see it again - the preformers woked very hard to put on a good show

Loved the theater - our (general admission) seats were great.
Show was ok - it had A LOT of stuff in it that had nothing to do with the Cinderella storyline but the dancing was good.
Costumes were very pretty.
My favorite performances were the 2 couples from "Thailand" and the couple from "Canada".
Main complaint was Cinderella and the Fairy Godmother's outfits were too similar - at one point we weren't sure which one was dancing.

I took my 6 and 4 year old nieces. They really loved it. Beautiful costumes and was very fast paced. The only down side was it started at 8:00 at night. We had to leave after the 2nd Act because they were falling asleep. Wish you had a matinee for the younger set.

The Cinderella Ballet, which showed at the San Diego Civic Theatre on Sunday, May 6, was my very first live professional ballet. For my younger sister (3 years old), the ballet was a tad too long, however, she did enjoy it for the most part. The breaks were nicely spaced out and were a perfect length for us to rest from watching the ballet. I had specially chosen that day so my sister could meet the cast, and I was glad for it. The only complaint I can think of is that the ballet took place around 1:00 pm, which is about the time my sister takes a nap. If the ballet company is going to make a ballet suitable for children, it might be wiser to make it start around 10 am so that it ends around naptime.
