Location: AK

The game was a rather average display of sportsmanship, blind refs, and over zealous drunk people. This is a family event, and even though we were in the 21 and older section, there were still tons of kids within earshot. The rowdy people behind us were shouting many offensive comments and when we asked for them to keep the lude comments down, they assumed that we were rooting for the opposite team. Then they proceeded to try to pick numerous fights with us there in the stands due to us having morals. Game was Good, Atmosphere Sucked!!

10/23/09 UAA vs UND men's college hockey

Good facility but poor attendance. The WCHA is the premier Division I NCAA men's college hockey conference in the entire country, of which UAA is a member. The attendance was disappointing at best last night at Sullivan Arena for a game with North Dakota, also a WCHA conference member and one of the consistently elite programs and teams in the nation. Being a UND alum. and long time Sioux fan, I would encourage hockey fans in Anchorage and the valley to attend more UAA hockey games. It is great watching UAA compete against the very best like UND, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Denver University, etc. and each year the UAA program improves making the hockey even better.
