Waited years to finally see them and although I am biased, it was hands down one of the most electric shows I've seen. No fancy stuff - just intense energy from all and incredible music. Jesse did an awesome job and the crowd was intensely with him for every note and every growl. It was an amazing and (dare I say fun) show. I caught myself singing the concert in my head for days after. Hope you do too - just leave room in the pit for me - I will be back.

I always enjoy the heavier bands because the energy from the band themselves and the crowd is palpable. They played many songs from the Alive or Just Breathing album which is my personal favorite from Killswitch. I was also impressed by Jesse's voice and he did very well on the songs that the band recorded with Howard. They are both talented singers/screamers but it's always a treat to see the founding members of any band that being jesse. I give them four stars because I wish their set was a little longer especially since up here in Alaska we get a handful of bands each year. Overall great show!

The local bands rocked the house, but when Killswitch came out it went straight nuts! The crowd went wild and Jesse nailed it! So glad they came to Anchorage!

Ticket said event started at 7PM. We were there on time.. had to listen to three opening acts.. NOTE TO AK SOUL opening acts should only play 3 songs MAX per opening act.. I did NOT show up to listen to every song each of the three opening bands had ever written. Killswitch Engage did not take the stage until 9:45 PM. For me this was WAY too much standing around listening to three bands I had not ever heard of each play ten songs.. By the time that Killswitch Engage took the stage I was tired of standing there.. Maybe they should sell tickets that say opening acts at 7 main event three hours later ??

I loved the concert but the only part that I was disappointed with was that there was 2.5 hours of opening local bands and then Killswitch only came out for one hour. With the cost of the tickets it makes it a little unfair, were paying to see Killswitch not listen to over 2.5 hours of local bands playing. I just wish we had more then one hour of show time. Other then that it was an awesome concert!!

I was really surprised how small the venue was! I was also THRILLED!!! There were seats that were GA. Which was a real bonus. The show was awesome!!!!! Ticket prices were really low, which, on my budget, is fantastic!! I can't say enough good things about this show!!

This was a great show, all three put on amazing shows, Shadows Fall became a top 20 favorite band to listen to after seeing them, same goes for Periphery, Killswitch Engage Lived up to reputation, but added some comedy in between songs, great stuff guys, awesome tour, great way to end the year!!!!

only downfall is floor is slanted in the pit area to go hand in hand to the seats normally there that were taken out for the concert, makes it difficult to keep balance when moshing is everywhere but wasnt enough to ruin the show at all, also if you dont like people, cluster phobic, or hate getting sweaty, hot, covered in beer or hate super loud noises, this concert defiantly wasnt for you.

Awesome venue. One of the best I've ever been to. Second show I've been to at upstate concert hall small and intimate kill switch and the other bands where spot on incredible show.

I got there in time to see Periphery, A great band from D.C. They were very talented musicians and the singer sounded just as he did on the recordings. They are a band to watch for. Second, was Shadows Fall. They brought the heavy. They have been around for over 10 years and sounded great. Lastly, Killswitch Engage took the stage. They played their album "Alive or barely breathing" from start to finish. Original frontman Jesse Leach was back and he sounded like he never left. The band kicked ass and Jesse sounded amazing. They are a great band to see live.

I drove 3+ hours to see this show, and all I have to say is that I would have driven 6. Finally seeing Killswitch Engage with the original singer made for a spectacular event. Not to mention the added bonus of seeing one of the best bands on earth, Shadows Fall, right before Killswitch Engage performed made it even bettter. The sound quality of this venue was great, it had a good atmosphere, and the staff was really nice too. Killswitch performed their entire "alive or just breathing" album, and I can't say they could have played it any better. It sounded exactly like the CD, which means awesome.

Alive or Just Breathing was incredible live. Jesse and Adam D stole the show with their antics and raw energy. I'd love to be able to see this same show again. Unfortunately, the crowd and/or the venue were not up to this epic show. It was honestly the most tame metal crowd I have seen in quite some time.
