Event was great. Seat location was great. Paid a high price and was expecting seat backs as we had gotten for the past few years in those seats. Had to sit on a cold metal bench since I came unprepared due to my prior experience. Was told only season ticket holders got the full seat bottoms and back yet BYU fans sitting next to us had the full seats. No way they are season ticket holders for SJSU. Ask an attendant there to check and he never returned with any information one way or another. As a contributor to the SJSU and the athletic organization very disapointed.

San Jose State is a fun place to go watch a football game

This was one of the best football games I've seen at Spartan Stadium. The weather was great, the crowd was great, and the game provided plenty of action. Looking forward to the rematch in 2013!

This was an interesting game between two sub-0.500 teams trying to prove that they are not as bad as their records showed. It ended up being an exciting game with several lead changes, hard hits, and spirited efforts. The game was as close as the 27-24 final score.
The venue was old and frankly in need of an upgrade. The rows and aisles had numbers, e.g., but the seats did not, so you had to count from the end to be sure you were in the correct seat. The seats themselves were benches, and if you were lucky (as we were), you had a padded cushion and back that had been bolted onto the benches. That was the good news. The bad news was that it had rained the night before, and water had seeped into the padding around the seams, so when you sat down, the water was squeezed out, leaving you with a damp fanny for the first half of the game.
Concession stands were overpriced and the food was awful, but at least the service was slow. I got into a line to buy a cup of coffee at half time with 15:21 showing as time remaining in the halftime festivities. By the time I got my drinks, and walked back into the stadium, there was 9:06 left in the third quarter. And, my $5 cup of coffee was only tepid.

Having 4 general admission seats and some halftime food was a great value. $30 per car to tailgate is a bit over the top though.

The game was fun and actually turned into a great finish. However, the tailgate setup and the attendants left a lot to be desired. In fact, several of the tailgate area attendants were downright rude and obnoxious and almost ruined our day with their poor attitude.

The game was full of mistakes and neither team played very well. Hawaii,s inept kicking game was the poison that determined their fate. San Jose's winning last drive with 1 minute to go and no timeouts showed their desire to win was greater than Hawaii's.

SAN JOSE ST and HAWAII always have good exciting games and this one was no different. Though a huge UH fan, I try to make all games they play at Spartan Stadium. Great place to see a game, and always amazes me that the stadium almost has more Hawaii fans than the home team =)!!! Only bad thing.....finding parking. SAN JOSE NEEDS BETTER PARKING ARRANGEMENT BIG TIME!

The tailgating was horrible because there was a Game Day DJ that was playing obscene music so loudly you couldn't even think.
Game was good, though. The sound system at the stadium needed some improvements too.

I didn't go to either school for my college years, but I thought it would be fun. I was planning on going to this game ahead of time. I haven't gone to a college football game in quite some time, so I was looking forward to this. The game itself was very one sided. This was also my first time watching a football game at this venue. San Jose State has a very tough schedule this year.

Went to the SJSU football game. Was disapointed to see how few students showed up. There were more Boise State fans than SJSU. Sad to see not more students don't come to support their school.
