Amazing venue, very well organized and a lot of fun for children of different ages. On top of that, tennis fans opportunity to see some of the top players w/o paying a lot of money for game tickets. Great!

I was disappointed in the GA seating. I did not know it was a first-come first-serve seating. The tickets I bought had row and seat numbers so naturally we did not go to the show very early.

If you are coming to see tennis-forget it! This is for kids only. A cool idea but the lines for every kids event on the courts are crazy! Plan on spending at least 25 minutes waiting for face painting or balloon animals for them. The show itself is ok for teenage girls but my 6 yr old son could care less. After 1/2 hour of the MC's telling everyone to make some noise for the 100th time we were out of there. Couldnt see anything anyway getting vertigo from the 2nd to last row in the stadium I saw too many overheated crying kids with mothers telling them to stop crying and "have fun"! Buy a day pass to the open the first week to see some great tennis and leave the kids home.

This was the first time we went to Kids' Day at the US Open. We arrived around 10:30 am to participate in the many activities, but the place was over crowded. The lines were too long that we didn't have time to do anything. All the activities stopped an hour or so before the show started. The seats we had were not reserved so by the time we got in the stadium we had to sit far away from the stage. The show was fine, nothing worth seeing again. However, we did enjoy seeing the Pros play against the future stars in tennis. The experience as a whole was not worth the time or money. Will not go again!

My two boys 4.5 and 7.5 had the best time, we will definitely come back next year! Great music, fab show! There should be more events like that for the kids.

I enjoyed my first time going and my son was happy to participate in the free events. I did not like the stage show too much; the format was not too organized. However the free tennis events prior to that were extremely organized and even though there was a large crowd the event ran very smoothly. Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers.

The event was very entertaining and enjoyable. The Arthur Ashe stadium show was filled with entertainers such as Carley Rae Jepsen,Mindless Behavior, Train, The Wanted. Super tennis stars included Serena Williams, Roger Federer, Andy Roderick, Kim Clijsters( announcing this is her final season), Djokavic, Sloan Stevens, kids from various tennis leagues, games and surprise dancing exercises to the tune of Carley's song "call me maybe", professionals players and numerous matches to see on several courts . Kids were expressing their own talented side while spectators watched with enjoyment. Not to mention the food, a great variety to choose from. Looking forward to next year.

This was our first time going. It will now be a future tradition for us to attend each year. My children had a fabulous time. How often do you get the chance to see professisonal tennis stars that close? It was a wonderful day!

What a wonderful event for children and the volunteers make the day, but it was so crowded. When you have little children and it's hot, standing in line for an hour to hit 5 balls, just doesn't make an event work. The concept is amazing and the money that goes to the NJTL is fabulous, but I do not think I will bring my children back because of the lines and crowds. The USTA needs to think about the number of people they let into, not only the Arthur Ashe kids day, but also general admission during the actual tournament. It's getting so I don't want to go anymore, a former college and pro player. I go becasue I see my friends, but if I were not such a tennis fan, it is not much fun fighting so many people!

we were sent around to the south gate because the lines to the main gate to check bags were too long. When we got to the south gates the lines were 4x as long. The lines to get on the activity courts were no longer than an amusement park ride. Kids liked hitting with the pros rackets and playing the pro coaches. My kids didn't get face painting but the face paint designs we saw on other kids were very special, they must of had real artists doing this work. Got my kids some oversized tennis balls for them to get autographs, and they became very focused on getting autographs. Would love to see some interviews of the top players on the mini stage since they often interview players for TV. Would look to have specific autograph stations possibly as my kids waited around for an hour to get Roddicks signature and then one of them was getting crushed by by pushy and aggressive people, children and adults alike. She didn't get the autograph. She was able to get the signature of many other players that day after their practice sessions which made her and her sister happy. Left the practice courts to get lunch at 12 thinking we would have plenty of time to eat and make the show. spent over an hour in line to get lunch mostly because there was a 10 min wait for hamburgers, The food was good but overpriced and the options for the $5 kids meals were slim and only available at 2 booths in the food village making the waiting on line for lunch a longer wait. The kids liked the show very much but would of liked to be closer to the performers. It's always disconcerting to see so many empty seat down below while your up high in the 3rd tier for a supposedly sold out show. After the show it was nice to see players still using the practice courts and things seemed more relaxed with the crowds thinning. Went to the art museum across from the unisphere and the kids liked the diorama of the 5 boros. Kids had a great day altogether and brought up wanting to come back next year and the years after etc. Looks like a family tradition in the making.

The musical acts for all great for the money, $10, couldn't possibly complain about that. It's still a pity everything has to cost so much at the stadium, $3.75 for the smallest bottle of water. Although I did feel the security people were quicker this year and maybe not as picky as 2010. All in all we have being going since 2007 and it is still a wonderful day out for our kids, hope to continue for several more. Keep up the good work.

Arthur Ashe Kids' Day will forever be a family tradition for my clan. The event was extremely well organized and the event staff were extremely amazing. The staff were professional, courteous, and most importantly, in full control. The event was so entertaining that I really forgot that it was geared towards the younger crowd. A quick glance at the mega screen revealed that I was not alone. Parents were dancing and singing right along with their children. The ensemble of talent that appeared on stage had me questioning whether I was dreaming. The balance between the performances and the focus of the event was perfect. This event proves children know how to party right.

When Carly Rae started singing her hit song and all of a sudden children and teens came from all over the stadium and they started dancing (I believe its called a "Flash Mob"), it made young and old alike get up and start dancing in their seats and smiling. It was just a "GREAT" show all around.

The Wanted, Rachel Crow, Mindless Behavior, Carly Rae Jepson, Owl City, they were all amazing!!!! What a great event. OMG!!!!!! The temperature was hot, but the performances were hotter!! For anyone who have never gone to Arthur Ashe Kids' Day, you have to go. The tickets usually go on sale at the beginning of June and they never announce the acts that early, but trust me, it is worth it to just go ahead and get your ticket early. We have never been disappointed.
