This was my fourth time enjoying this remarkable show, and my second time at the Birchmere. It has been a different show each time, with the performers mixing it up. The level of musicianship is fantastic, from Bill Kirchen's plaintive singing and twangy guitar to the sweet sounds of Robin and Linda Williams (especially Linda's slow groove singing "Your Cold Cold Heart)"), fiddle, banjos, upright bass, electric bass, mandolins. . All the musicians were in fine form and the songs ranged, as always, from fun (Hey, Hey, Good Lookin') to heart breaking (I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry). It is a wonderful night for those who know all his songs to those who have only heard them covered and everyone in between. The first time I attended I was astonished by how many of the songs i knew from covers, and I ran out to buy his CDs. Now I am hooked.

Favorite moment: Bill Kirchen putting Hank's words to other musicians' style ( Hendrix, the Beatles) was a highlight, but the whole show was great! @
