Location:Columbus, Ohio, Downtown.
The show was simply outstanding. I am familiar with several of the Taiko drum artists and the Kodo Drummers top them all. Seeing them in person was a far more complete an experience and level of enjoyment than simply listening to recordings.
They are truly dedicated athletes, artists, and musicians.
One can feel the drums, not just hear them, and can be moved by their sound. A great blend of powerful drums, flutes, voices and cymbals all in harmony.
Not to be missed.

The amount of strength and ability of these artists is amazing. I wanted to see them a few years ago, but didn't. Now I don't think I will miss them again.

Enjoyed it very much. The precision and skill on display was mesmerizing. The show was two hours long but it felt much shorter. Be forewarned; the second act features (essentially) naked men pounding on a large drum. It was enjoyable but could make for awkward viewing depending on with whom you are watching the show.

Kodo is awesome, and this was my second time seeing them. The way they paint a picture using only drums and a few other traditional Japanese instruments is amazing. The energy is something that can only be felt by attending; no amount of watching youtube clips does it justice.

So much energy and precision. From start to finish there wasn't a moment of downtime other than the intermission. Drumming intermingled with traditional dance, flute and singing made for a very enjoyable night.

It was great show. We enjoyed the evening. I gave 4 stars because I did not care for the shiny costumes. Once masters of drummer came out to stage, whole night became magical.

The group was very good with heart pounding rythms and beautiful folk songs and flutes. These people are truely athletes at what they do.

I'm a big fan of Kodo ever since I found their CD while looking for modern dance music. The performance was awesome and everything I expected. I was very pleased with Kodo and I'm really glad I found out about the concert 2 days prior. The theatre was very lovely and regal. The seats could have been spaced a little further from each other. I'm 5'8" and my knees were uncomfortably hitting the back the seat in front of me. Thank goodness no one was sitting next to me so I can stretch a little bit sideways. It was worse for my 6'2" husband. All and all it was a really good experience.

"They make triathlons look relaxing" was my initial reaction following Kodo's tour de force performance Thursday evening. The musicality and athleticism on display was a thrill to behold for the fifth time.

The Kodo drummers are the most amazing performers I've seen. The drum rhythms and the physical aspect of the show are something to see in person. Videos do not do these artists justice. Go see them if you get the chance. You will not regret it.

The energy and precision were unmatched in terms of anything I have ever seen before. They got two standing ovations which were well deserved. A mix of traditional and contemporary performance.
