SU football is still rebuilding, but a very good gameday experience. Good game topped off by the band playing at Varsity on M Street after the victory.

The Syracuse vs. Stony Brook football game was a great time. I took my father to his first ever college football game and he really enjoyed the experience. This was made better by the improvements that were made to the dome in the off season. If you havent been to the carrier dome in a while its worth making a trip back for a game.

Great game, the weather delay sucked, but what can you do.

Bus service instead of the light rails was not as bad as I feared, and metlife is a great location.

Good game, then the rain came. The MetLife stadium was cleared over concerns of tornadoes/heavy rain. 2 -3 tornadoes occurred in the NY area that day so the warning was warranted.
However, public address advisories during the rain storm would have helped inform the fans as to how long they may be expected to wait. We waited under the seating area for at least 45 minutes and left before the game was re-started. It took 45 minutes to drive home and we still were able to watch the last quarter on tv.

This was our second experience watching a college football game at MefLife Stadium. We had great seats. Getting to the game was more difficult than our first experience. Back in 2010 NJ Transit had trains running between Secaucus and the stadium. This time they loaded everyone on crowded buses. I'm not sure why they did away with the train service. The people at the stadium were very helpful and polite. The food and beverage at the stadium was outrageously priced ($5 for a bottle of water). Also we were not allowed to bring our umbrellas in the stadium when everyone knew that heavy rain was expected. Instead we were given the choice of either throwing our umbrellas away or paying another $5 to store them during the game. The game was very exciting. Matt Barkley ended up throwing for 6 touchdowns in the USC win. It is nice to see big time college football teams play at MetLife Stadium instead of having to travel all over the country. I will go to future games if they continue to attract big time schools to play in them. The stadium was cleared right before the start of the second half due to lightning and rain. The crowd was really into the game and it was a lot of fun. There were a lot more USC fans than Syracuse fans in attendance.

This was an awesome game but it was spoiled by terrible storms. I realize this was an unusual situation but the stadium had absolutely NO facility for a patron who was physically unable to stand for the extended length of the delay. With all the expense obviously poured into the new stadium, some contingency for even this unusual emergency should be in place.

Location:Retiree from mid-sized city in TN

We had seats in the upper deck near the 40-yd line on the visitors side. We could see all of the action w/o any problem (except of course for the close plays needing instant replay reviews). The seats were steep enough that people in front did not block our view, unlike some other places. However, for a place presumably named after the inventor of air conditioning, the place was HOT! The posted temp was about 80 F. at the start and peaked at 95 F. Even the TV announcers commented on the heat (we saw the TV replay). Is this normal for every game, or were there mitigating circumstances? How about in the winter--is it down to freezing? Just curious.

The USC side was packed. A lot of enthusiasm. It would have been better if more Syracuse fans showed up. Lexus club was very nice. Seats were comfortable. Great selection of food and beer. (Expensive though)

Saturday 9/8/2012 we went to college football at Metlife Stadium, Syracuse versus the West Coast powerhouse USC. This was my first time at Metlife. We had a great time . The stadium itself is huge, follow the signage on the ground level because if you are seated on the 200 level, you need to be on the correct endof the building from the start. You cannot pass through the center clubhouse area to get from one end zone side to the other. Else, the place is great, not a bad seat in the house.
Syracuse is a good local team. Their play exciting. The support groups (band, cheerleaders, dancers and such) round out the complete experience. I highly recommend a Syracuse game @ Met Life.
