I love the Breeders and see them every chance I get. This show, at Diesel in Pittsburg, had 7:00 on the tickets and there was to be a special guest. We had tried to call the club to see when the Breeders would be on, but there was no info on the message and no way to speak to someone. I came from Cleveland, and arrived at 8:30, and the Breeders were already on. We were told that they went on at 8:00 and would play till 9:30. The show ended at 8:10.
I thoroughly enjoyed the show that I saw. Josephine Wiggs was with them they did the Pod song, Metal Man, which was awesome. I unfortunately not hear (probably missed) any of the new songs from their EP Fate to Fatal. We saw about 6 songs. At the end, Kim shook my hand, and I love how great she is with her fans. I really love this band!
Afterwards, the club was immediately turned into a nightclub for the party kids. My only request is that if a club has plans for a second "event" (a big nightclub scene after the show), that the tickets be marked with "EARLY SHOW", and have helpful info on the phone message. A recent show in Cleveland, also with 7:00 on the ticket, had the headliner playing from 11:00 to 12:15. I have seen hundreds of shows, and rock shows in bars do not start that early. Maybe, I'm used to Cleveland, but a headliner starting at 8:00 on a Saturday night is unheard of. I am very sorry I missed 1/2 the show, being a huge fan. The Breeder's are great. Deisel isn't.
