We saw Larry "the cable guy" at the Clark County Amphitheater last night and he was GREAT! We have seen many of his taped shows and he was even better in person. He has such a natural flair for comedy and comes across as a total redneck - even though I know in real life, he isn't.
My husband really enjoyed the show, too, and we would definitely go again if he comes back this way.

I liked the fact that you can get your tickets via printer. You don't have to spend all day at the casino spending your hard earned money. The seats were lousy, they were the second row from the top. I was so scared. The biggest problem was you could't hear the band or the punch lines of the jokes, it was all mumbled. We asked other people around us and they had the same problem. The band before him stunk . But he was good what you could hear. It would of been great if it wasn,t at that arena. PS. It was at the moheagon sun and we called them about there speaker system.

A truly memorable performance. Only partly because I was late in getting a ticket, so my date and I shared an oxygen mask in nose bleed heaven. His warm up groups were very good, but the entire arena waited in electric anticipation for Larry.
Watching him on television will never compare to his live shows. From Interaction with the audience to his self deprication and wry sense of humor his take on society was a side splitting adventure.

OK - so here's the deal: Larry the Cable Guy is by far one of the funniest comedians in the business today! I was looking forward to seeing him in person so much, but was rather disappointed due to the poor acoustic and visual set up at the Mohegan Sun Arena... it was very difficult to hear Larry and even more disappointing to miss half of the punchlines as a result... also, the seating arrangment sucked! Although large screen TVs were provided, it was still difficult to get a decent view of Larry. At $65+ per ticket, I was expecting much more from the performance. Bottom line, save your money and catch him on Comedy Central in the comfort of your own home! This is not to say that Larry did not perform well, but rather a commentary on the poor set up of the arena... I still think he is one of the funniest guys around!

Overall the Mohegan Sun arena is a solid venue. We saw Bill Engvall here last year which provides that proof, and in previous years have seen Sheryl Crow and boxing events. There were many times during LCG's show where he had his mouth on the mic so tight that he could not be understood. There were a number of other folks in the audience feeling the same way.

Ok, so you already know Larry is hilariously funny. That given, not every comedian can open funny, build the level and finish with power the way Larry can. You get the feeling that you are in an intimate setting and the show is being performed especially for you, even though there are 10,000 people around you. This show is worth every penny of the admission. It is a pleasure to see a performance where the entertainer isn't dancing around political correctness and so conscious of offending someone that he loses perspective about what really makes us laugh, life itself. Great show Larry. The opener also possessed a keen sense of humor and great delivery. Oh, just a side thought, you could probably lose the band. Every one in the group was trying to "out noise" the other. It was so loud you couldn't hear the lyrics. The Fiddler, however, was excellent.

I went to see the show this past weekend at Mohegan Sun Arena. His opening act was too funny. I would go see him in any nightclub to hear his entire bit. Larry's jokes were very current and funny. It was funny to see a show designed toward rednecks in a New England venue since there were probably 10 there. I didn't enjoy the opening band. It was a good thing that they only played a few songs. Everyone arround could not understand him since all he did was yell into the mic... It was suppose to be country music.

I have seen Larry several times before, this time as with the others, he is a riot. The last time I saw him was in March of this year, and this routine is completely different-all new material. If you've enjoyed him on the Blue Collar movies, he is even better in person and you will be laughing the whole time.

There was some band performing before Larry. Not good, and you couldn't understand what they were saying. Larry was ok but everthing was stuff we already heard. Get rid of the band and do new jokes! The seats at Mohegan are very uncomfortable they need to update.

I went to this with my son and his friends, who are really into standup comedy. We had previously seen him at the Cape Cod Melody Tent. I honestly think his show is more suited to that smaller, more intimate setting. Add to it that the tickets at Mohegan cost twice as much (we were in nosebleed section too) and I really didn't have as much fun this time. His warm up comedian is funny, but the hillbilly band is awful. Couldn't understand a word they said! It wasn't the accent, it was just that it was like "country rap". The bright spot to that performance was the fiddler doing "Devil Went Down to Georgia". Larry was on for about 80 minutes of the two hour show. He was funny, but again, better down the cape

My boyfriend and I loved the whole show. We sat way up the top and at some points it was a little hard to hear what larry was saying. So just turn the mic up a bit . other than that we Love you Larry great job..
