Seating chart was horrible. Seats were cramped together. Bought front row seats did not realize the stageisrighthere. Had a cramp in my neck from looking up by the time show was over. 2-3 rows back would have been perfect. Ali Siddiq, the starting act, was HILARIOUS! Drinks horribly overpriced, barely any food options available (just bags of chips, pretzels, and candy).

I never knew that this dude was funny until I saw him host the "All Stars of Comedy" here is Detroit. He brought some big names like Tommy Davidson and Arnez J, etc. But I swear, all were hallarious, he was a Gut Buster. I will be attending his next show. Just come with new material Bro.

Only knowing the stylings of Bill Bellamy from early Def Jam work and his movie career, I didn't know what to expect. But the Brotha" was really funny. On point and on topic all night, he had me in the aisles laughing. I would definitely go see him again.

Bill Bellamy was hilarious! Had seen him before at Cobb's and was glad I went back this time. The only downside was the event time. 7:00 is way too early (use to start at 8:00 until Live Nation bought Cobb's from what I understand) and I think it showed in the attendance. It was very empty, but it looked him the later show was going to be much fuller. I would recommend Live Nation move the starting time for the first show back to 8:00

Across the board, this was a terrific show. The two opening guys were funny and had lots of energy to get the crowd fired up and Bill was hilarious just as I remembered from a comedy special I saw years ago. My wife and I really enjoyed the show. If Bill comes through again, my wife and I will most assuredly see another show. I was even tempted to see the show on Sunday.

I went to see Bill Bellamy after seeing some of his shows on You-Tube. Very funny guy in those clips; he mined black family life, the battle of the sexes, attitudes between the races -- all to great and very funny effect. Not so Saturday night at Cobb's in San Francisco. Much of his material seemed aimed at 20-something black women, who made up about a quarter of the audience, and he could have been great. Instead, he mostly focused on sex and while he had his target audience in his hand for about the first half of the show, then he lost them. He had lost most of the rest of the audience (I'm white as was about half the audience) even earlier. I really like a comedian who can mine racial attitudes for humor (going back to when Dick Gregory began) but I was really disappointed. After 40 minutes or so, everybody was sitting on their hands. Too profane, too much material just about sex, none of the kind of stuff that was in the You Tube clips. Just an awful performance. Maybe he's bored with his material and ought to retire.
