I have seen Rod and the Mighty Flyers many times going back to the late '80s. A Mighty Flyers show can be best summed up in 3 letters: FUN.
This is the best live-performing blues band around. The caliber of the musicianship and the quality of the songs are top notch - and this band gets you on your feet jumpin'. As a piano player myself, I'm pretty partial to Miss Honey. When she rocks the house with one of her stunning boogie-woogie piano solos - you will know you have been rocked !!!!

Rod is one of, if not THE best, chromatic blues harmonica players you will have the privilege of seeing and hearing. He is a master of the instrument. His band, and particularly his wife, Honey, are excellent. The Boogey-woogey that Honey laid down was like a well-marked highway with scenic overlooks that allowed Rod to cruise without worrying if there was fuel in the tank or speed traps ahead. This band JUMPS!
