This was my 4th time seeing Merle Haggard. Well, I was actually disappointed this time. Clearly he was just going through the motions. The tickets were rather expensive, good thing he had some opening acts. He played exactly one hour...probably the shortest performance i have ever seen anybody do (other than opening acts).Too bad, looks like this might have been the last time I saw him. (for 2 reasons...one...show was disappointing and two..he really is getting old).

I've never attended a Merle Haggard show before. Understanding he's 76 and a singer not a 'performer' i was still excited to see a legend. However, there was very little interaction with the crowd. No introduction of his band and only played 55 mins with no encore. He essentially sang song after song while only singing one of his well known hits. I had more fun people watching than I did watching/listening to him sing. i spent $75 on a standing only ticket plus the cost of drinks when i could have spent $15 on a greatest hits CD and had a more memorable experience. This is one show I can not recommend nor would I waste money to see him perform in any other venue.

My husband is a big Merle Haggard fan. I like him also. I liked all the songs he sang. He sounded really good. I enjoyed the show alot. We would see him again.

I don't think anyone could love Merle more than I do...He was awsome as always....76...going on 36 ☺ The venue, the food and the service were all extrodinary.,, Thanks for a perfect evening (the only improvements I could begin to think of is, Merle could have played for at least another 1/2 hour and the souviniers could have been alittle more affordable) ☺ Over all, VERY Please with everything!!!

Merle at 76 is still the best. But the Emerald Casino is no place to see him. We had good seats but, even with arriving 2 hours early, we had to eat in one of the crappy deli's. Until EC take reservations at it 'International Restaurant', we won't be going back to see anyone there.

Merle Haggard has been a part of our family for years. My whole family has grown up listening to his songs. At 60 years old, it has been a lifetime of music for me. I took my sister to the event for her birthday present. She was still smiling and listening to his music the next day. She is 53. She just loves Merle. She sat in awe while watching the concert and we were very close to the stage so it made it even better.

Their was no favorite song or moment the whole show was awesome I bout the tickets for my father and myself we both enjoyed the show . The hag is our favorite entertainer in country music of all time

Merle and The Strangers were great as expected. It truly was a family affair with his son Noel warming up the crowd with the first four songs of the concert. He sounded a lot like had dad. However, once Merle took the stage, it was electric. The man can still bring it, and that voice of his is still smooth as silk. I understood his wife and daughter were the female backups, and the steel guitarist was an original Stranger member, and he was flawless.
The only negative about the concert was that it was just too short. It was over in less than an hour and a half. Although Merle did pack in the songs with one right after the other as soon as one song was done, he was starting a new one. But at his age, it is understandable he would sing for about an hour. It was definitely worth it to see Merle again. Merle is the best of all time.

I see Merle every time he comes to town. He doesn't sound quite like he used to but he's still Merle and that's good enough for me. This show was fantastic, he seemed to be having a great time, telling stories, singing all the hits.

Unfortunately a very under whelming concert in my opinon. I am a huge Merle fan and tried not to get my hopes up too much, however I was very disappointed. The warm up with his family band was very amateurish and boring, and too long. The audio mix for Merle was really bad as his levels were all over the place. Mostly very low as we were straining to hear him. My favorite song, "Silver Wings", he sang it very differently than what I feel most would have liked to hear. And what I thought for sure he would play, "If We Make It Through December", he didn't...(I know he can't sing them all however)
Pretty much a "mail it in" performance..
I realize that he is 75 years old, and I give him an A for effort to make these attempts, however I give the concert a "D"...
I am very glad however that I was able to see this legend in person while he is still on the road.
