I really enjoyed the music and the venue. I wish I had been able to choose my seats instead of being given at time of purchase. I would have preferred to sit in the back with other people who were there to have a good time. I was stuck in the middle and couldn't sing along with some uptight concert goers. At one point Merle, turned the house lights on encouraging the audience to sing and I was shushed.

PERFORMANCE WAS WELL BALANCED. GOOD VARIETY OF SONGS. MALPAIS BROTHERS HAVE IMPROVED GREATLY - NEED TO SEE MORE OF THEM. IT IS JUST AMAZING TO SEE MERLE PERFORM SO WELL AT THIS STAGE OF HIS LIFE. HIS SON IS A STRONG CONTRIBUTOR TO THE BAND. NORM HAMLET IS GREAT. THERE WAS ONLY ONE DISSAPOINTMENT (AS USUALLY), IT WAS OVER TOO SOON.

Getting to hear a legend - of course we all had a great evening. It was an energetic concert with great sound engineering. His voice was clear and mellow. We loved it: Heard a lot of the old tunes and a couple of his new ones. The band was, of course, outstanding, and one of the best you can hear anywhere. It was more than expected. The sax was so good it made me want to cry.

The old Jimmy Rogers tune and the Bob Wills song was like icing on a cake.
Oh yes, Merle played fiddle too!

Just like the Topeka, KS review (where many of the songs he played are listed), he interacted with the crowd, sounded great, and autographed my hat.
I've seen Hag shows from 30 years ago to the present, and this was the best. Like fine wine.....better with age.

The show was incredible--the open act was so good we bought their CD.
We have seen him probably a ton of ten times in the last 5 years and he has seemed to have made a remarkable recovery of his energy and enthusiasm. I think having his son on stage was a very good thing and the Strangers continue to be one of the best bands on the road.
We loved the whole show--his choice of songs was excellent and his endearing performance with a few "restarts" was like a trip back into the history of country music.
He is the best in the business and the best song writer that ever lived.

My husband and I recently saw Merle Haggard in concert. He was awesome! His voice is incredible. There were many people there and Merle interacted with the crowd a lot. Also, the Malpass Brothers opened for him and they are fantastic. If you have a chance, do everything in your power to go. You won't regret it.

This was the first time I saw Merle live. Had a chance to see him 30 years ago in Goodland,Kansas, but missed the show. He doesn't perform much anymore, so I felt lucky to have the opportunity. The lady sitting next to me really was hyper and almost fell into my lap when swinging to the music. My wife enjoyed the music (this was our 15th anniversary). She liked the concert hall venue also.

The entire show was great. I enjoyed all of the performers and it was good to see Merle's sons carrying on some of their father's talents.

Merle was enjoyable to listen to and to watch his talent playing the guitar and the violin!

My husband's parents came from California to celebrate his 90th birthday. As a surprise to him, we took them to the Merle Haggard concert. They loved it!! My mother-in-law was sitting beside me and she was moving to the music. They both enjoyed Merle's jokes as well as his music. They also thought the opening acts were great.. We all had a great time and they will be talking about it for a long time.

This is the 3rd Merle concert I have been too and it was by far the best.

His son, Noel opened up and played 4 songs. Nole is good but hes no Hag. The the Malpas brothers came out. They look straight out of the 50's with their hair and clothes. They sang old, real country music. They played for about 20 mins.

After they were done we had about a 15 minute intermission. Once Merle came out the crowd went crazy. Merle played for about 80 minutes. Coinsidering his age and health that's a long time. Merle interacted with the crowd and even played a request. "Rainbow Stew"

Merle is one of the last great REAL country singers we have left. If you have never seen him and are on the fence about it, do yourself a favor and see him. He is well worth it and you never know if this will be his last concert or not.

The show was decent at best. The opening acts were good but Merle kind of let me down. The show only lasted an hour and a half, and he only played maybe an hour. i guess I expected more for a $60 ticket. No encore and he wouldn't even get out of the bus to sign autographs for the handful of fans waiting outside. But at least I can say I saw Merle in concert, just wished it would've been 30 years ago.

The show was absolutely amazing. Great opening acts. Merle is amazing on stage and very entertaining between songs. He took requests from the crowd when yelled and was very responsive. His humor and jokes were a definite highlight given all he has experienced throughout his career and life. Especially given the current economic condition... Best show I have ever been to! Only thing I wish is that he would have stayed around to sign autograpghs and pictures as he is a TRUE COUNTRY LEGEND!!!
