this show was incredible. my first, but hopefully not last time seeing them. it blew me away. so entertaining and they sounded amazing. really put on a great show. Wayne is such a good person. i absolutely loved it! if the flaming lips ever come near you go see them, or even if they dont make a point to go somewhere and see them. you will not regret it.

The Flamming Lips show was exactly what I had hoped and more. The energy and vibriancey of the band reflected in the crowds abandon and absorbtion of the nights music. Wayne and the boys really know how to celebrate their creations and know how to get everyone interacting in the wolrd they tell of. You are part of the show and that made it for me and hopefully everyone else there that night. Right on man!

The Flaming Lips are the best band on Earth not only to listen to, but to watch live. This was the best two hours of my life, and I'd relive it every night if I could.

I travelled from Akron to Columbus to taken my daughter to see the Flaming Lips at the Lifestyles Pavillion. I had my doubts at first, since my rock 'n roll preference is different from my daughter's (we are 54 and 16 in age, a slight difference) and I was also unfamiliar with the Pavillion venue.

What a nice surprise!!!!

The facility was easy to find, lots of nearby parking for only $5, and every seat on the lawn a great seat. The warmup band from Oklahoma was not too good (again, I am 54), but their drummer was excellent and he was worth seeing despite the rest of the band (sorry guys). There was a long delay between the warmup band and the Flaming Lips startup, maybe too long, but I enjoyed watching the people arrive and the refreshments stands were nearby....so not a big deal.

The Flaming Lips were better than I expected......and more importantly, they lived up to my daughter's expectations. She was thrilled and had to leave me to move up into the crowd next to the stage. Wayne is a great entertainer and actually showed a lot of class
towards his audience. He gave us a great show and I would recommend a parent with a MATURE teenager could safely take them to this venue and/or to see the Flaming Lips.

I had been waiting for a long time to the Lips! It seemed every time they would come to Atlanta, I would be out of town. I'll have to say, I have seen the UFOs at the Zoo and this show was just as good except there wasn't a spaceship! I was so happy that Wayne got in his hamster ball and ventured out into the audience! Not too far, but just seeing that was cool. At times with the music and the balloons everywhere it seemed so magical and dreamy like when they played "Vein of stars" which is one of favorites and dedicated it to a boy that was in the hospital. I left happy and inspired, So beautiful. Afterwards I heard some teenage boys saying how beautiful and inspiring the show was - don't hear that every day from teenage boys!

I can't say enough good things about this show. Of all the shows I've been to and different bands I've seen over the years, I must say this was probably the most fun I've ever had! After this experience I just knew I HAD to see them in Oklahoma City for their New Years Eve Freakout

This show was incredible! I took a friend who had never seen a Lips show, nor knew many or any of their songs, but his words for the show were 'One of, if not the coolest thing I've ever experienced.' The opening band was also stellar, making it well worth the two hour drive from Cincinnati.

As the show began and the band came out, the energy was palpable. However, as Race for the Prize began resonating throughout the crowd, it no longer felt as a group of individuals but one energy celebrating the music, confetti, and overall spectacle that surrounded us all.

Flaming Lips! This is a concert experience like no other. Before going to this show I thought that good music and a good crowd were all it took to make an unforgettable show. Now, however, I am forced to reevaluate that stance. Not only was the music great and the crowd wonderfully present, but the interaction between the Lips (specifically Wayne Coyne) and the crowd was what sent this concert over the top. As confetti rained down from cannons on the few thousand people in attendance, the Lips sung songs of love, hope, brotherhood, and robots. They gratiously thanked every applause they got, and grinned almost shyly when they were forced to pause in the middle of songs to let the cheering die down. Wayne came out into the crowd at one point in what they call a 'spaceball', which is sort of a giant bubble. He crowd surfed over hippy and rocker kids all too thrilled to touch the plastic contraption. Giant novelty balloons were blown up and sent out into the happy masses. They played all of there memorable songs including 'Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots', 'Fight Test', and 'Vasoline'. They closed with a long version of 'Do You Realize?' which even had Wayne in tears. I will never see a show again without thinking that with the help of some confetti, balloons, and a big heart the band could reach their audiance in a much more profound, entertaining, and personal way as the Flaming Lips do.

At the concert I got a t-shirt that said "I experienced The Flaming Lips in concert and It made me a better human being". I couldn't agree more. It freaks me out how much i feel like the concert changed me and my perspective on life in general. Not only do The Flaming Lips create amazing, psychedelic, unique music but they offer you words of wisdom and things to help you get through the day. Their philosophy on life and their open minded-ness and kindness and love is contagious. I can't help but feel complete and content ever since seeing them. This is not usual for me, and i thank The Flaming Lips for this gap that has been filled.

I think it's safe to say that seeing the Flaming Lips was the highlight of my year so far. They were amazing. Very interactive with the audience and their energy was awesome. I would highly reccomend anyone to see them live if they get the chance!

The Flaming Lips not only write and perform some wonderful music, but they also put on the most exciting and over-the-top stage performance that I have ever seen. The set was prefaced by an animation on the lighted backdrop, then frontman Wayne Coyne entering a human-sized hamster ball and scampering on top of the crowd. From that point on, I was in a state of shock and awe while watching the band perform a beautiful 90-120 minute set.

This concert was simply amazing. From the first song the senses were bombarded constantly with great sounds and visuals. Their music is good to begin with, but their concert experience is in a whole other realm. If you you want to see one of the best live shows see the Flaming Lips!

This was easily one of the best concerts I have ever been to. I was not a huge fan of the Flaming Lips before this concert but they were my best friends favorite band so we decided to go, from the opening song I was completely blown away by the atmosphere of the concert. The Flaming Lips were one of the few bands that I have seen that were able to make the concert more about the spectacle of being at a concert and less about themselves. Bottom line, if you have the chance to see the Flaming Lips, go!
