Favorite moment: Our favorite moment is probably when all of the animals gather at the beginning for Simba to be presented at Pride Rock. That was unbelievably moving. @

My daughter and I had a night on the town. She cried several times even though she is now an adult. She and her brother watched the movie as small children and have always loved Simba. We were blown away by everything about the show from the music to the costumes and the little bit of comedy thrown in here and there. I would recommend this show to anyone who enjoys being a kid once in a while. Given the chance we will return.

The Lion King was awsome. The performance itself was a work of art as was the singing, costumes, set and ingenuity. The way the cast fit into their characters and used their costumes with such skill was such a thrill to see. I loved the voices that were associated with each character. There was sadness, wonderful humor and the sence of victory. Really made you think about the challenges of the 'wild kingdom' through human emotions.
I would love to see it again.

Nice costumes. Not as good as NY production from what I hear. Acting and story left a little to be desired. I think because everyone knows the story so well, they didn't spend any time making the transitions natural. It felt very fractured. One scene to another. Probably a better experience from the orchestra seat. I was in the Mezzanine

The people as animals were incredibly creative especially the giraffes, zebras, leopard and warthog. The voice of Rafiki (Phindile Mkhize) was so powerful and lovely. Costumes were colorful, choreography lively and it was such fun when all the characters and animals were on stage at once. Finale

When my daughters were kids, they just loved the movie. I was afraid of being disappointed, knowing every word and move of the show. This couldn't have been further from the truth!!! The cast was incredible. They so perfectly fit the characters that I bet the show would have been great even without the costumes, although they too were incredible. The use of the aisles, with the animals walking down and going up onto the stage gave the show and entirely inclusive feel; we were all part of it.

This show surpassed my expectations! I knew it had gotten rave reviews, but I wasn't sure how the movie would be as a play. The costumes, design, and how it all was presented was very innovative and extremely creative. The characters were not dressed in fuzzy animal suits. Their costumes were classy and blew me away. It is a delight that can be enjoyed by all ages! I would definitely recommend The Lion King to anyone looking for a fun time who enjoys creativity and innovation!! Bravo!!

Honestly, one if not the best musical I've ever seen. I took my 9-year old niece and she loved it. She's asking when she can see it again. I thought it was money well spent and we had a blast.

My husband and I planned to see Lion King as our birthday present since our birthdays are just 1 day apart. This show was absolutely fantastic, fabulous and more. From the costumes to the music and most of all the performers, we were totally entertained from beginning to end. If you were only to see one play in your life - this would be the one. Don't be mistaken thinking this is just for kids. We are past 60 and enjoyed this production beyond all expectation. We have raved to all our friends and family to not miss it.

We trekked to Boston from Maine to see the Lion King with three generations of family...the show was loved by all of us! The costumes and show were fantastic! The humor was good for all ages. A bit scary at times, but felt it was very appropriate for our 5 and 7 yr olds. The Opera House is gorgeous, and it was comparable to the Lion King in NYC that I attended several years ago. The rain was a drag, but in hind sight, if we had just waited ten minutes after the show, we would have finally hailed a cab. Only downside was that the lines at the ladies room was exceptionally long at intermission, so get there quickly if you need to go because you will miss the second act. The Opening scenes of both acts are spectacular, so be sure to get there before the doors close.

The Broadway Across America's Presentation of the Lion King at the Boston Opera Housewas unbelievable. From the very beginning, we experienced kindness and hospitality from the Opera House's doorman and security guard, and the staff who assisted us with a problem. The show itself was wonderful, from the character development and costumes to music to lighting, this show was a class act. The eye and ear was drawn to the details and just left in awe. The show was very family appropriate and after the show the children met the cast, and for them it was a highlight, as they saw the humility and approachability of the cast as they collected for Broadway Cares. It was a show that left three generations of our family impressed and at points speechless.
