The Hard Rock has been one of my favorite venues. Easy access and great sound! Judas Priest was outstanding! My only disappointments were (1) Whitesnake canceled and that would have made the night so much better and (2) Judas Priest skipped two of my favorite songs. They could have played a bit longer to make up for the lack of an opening act.
I couldn't vote 4-1/2 stars - so 5 it is!

Not many bands know how to put on a performance, though they may know how to play their instruments well, Judas Priest does both exceptionally well.

This was a show for the extreme fans of Judas Priest. I have now seen them 18 times all with Rob Halford (none with ripper owens). Judas Priest gets better every time I can't wait to see them again! There is none better! To the Priest You Rock!

It was amazing hearing Judas Priest play "British Steel" track for track, 30 years after the album was released. If you have any interest in metal at all, I highly recommend you check out the Priest on this tour. Rob's still got plenty of voice and the rest of the band sound just like they always did. A great show.

This was a special show since it was filmed for the DVD to be released next year for the 30 years Anniversary of the British Steel album so we all got to be the stars in the show.
The songs from the album withstood the test of time nicelly, they are such easy song along songs, which we got to do following Halford's lead, got a treat by hearing Steeler, The Rage live, the opening song Rapid Fire was really intense: "Pounding the world like a battering ram", it just blows you away after all these years.
The sound was great, the band was tight, interacting with the audience, sending their love, appreciation to the fans: in an interview with Halford, he was asked why they picked Hard Rock to film their dvd and he answered that Floroda has the best metal maniacs ever plus the band also did previous recordings in Florida, was familiar with it.
Hope they continue to rock our socks off for years to come as they are the greatest!

The Metal Gods put on a top notch show!!
Rob Halford.... the best rock vocalist ever!
Glenn Tipton & K.K. Downing put on a stellar guitar performance.
Ian Hill's thundering bass must be experienced at least once in a life time.
Getting to hear the entire British Steel album and all their hits was fantastic!
Prophecy from the new Nostradamus CD did not disappoint.

What an amazing experience was seing British Steel played in its entirety with the great laser show, wish the night never ended and Priest will play more songs, they were so good! The guys were on fire, interacting wth the fans, sending their love, appreciation through words in Rob's talking to the crowds or Glen's sign language pointing to the fans and his heart. The atmosphere was explosive, everybody was standing, rocking, singing along the easy accesible well known tunes we grew up with which withstood the test of time nicely. Can't wait to see the band again live as soon as they hit our nearby cities again and hard rock to the max with the one and only mighty Priest. All my love!

I grew up listeneing to Priest and have seen them in concert at least 10 times before over the years. To be truthful I was a little hesitant about going to this show for fear that the Priest would be a mere shadow of what they used to be. I couldn't have been any more wrong...they really blew me away! IF YOU'RE A TRUE PRIEST FAN, DO NOT MISS THIS SHOW.
What swayed me to go to this show was the setlist I saw online. They were playing epic pieces like Victim of Changes, Steeler, and even Dissident Aggressor! They only played 1 song from the Nostradamus album, and that was just fine by me (a disappointing release in my opinion).

The Metal Gods brought the house down with their explosive, intense performance, WOW, what a show it's been, the most enjoyable experience ever lived, wish the night never ended, the set list was way too short, Priest ripped through British Steel very fast and seven other songs, before you know it was over. Loved seing The Rage, Steeler live, the opening was very unique and powerful with the laser show very impressive!
Halford was bouncing around the stage and leading the crowds on the singing along songs, speaking to the crowds several times, sending the love and appreciation.
Tipton was sendinghrough his love through sign language, was on his side and got an upclose experience, it was amazing seing the Metal God Halford so close, will treasure this priviledge forever, can't wait to see them again on thier next tour soon enough!

I just had to comment on how Judas Priest is THE Heavy Metal band of all time. Being a fan since my first album British Steel, the band has not missed a beat after all of these years. I saw them for the first time in Nashville, TN and the show was simply amazing. The show had the crowd HOT ROCKIN from RAPID FIRE through YOU GOT ANOTHER THING COMIN. Every song sounded just as good live as it does on the albums. Rob Halford is the true voice of Judas Priest and he sounded better than ever. K.K., Glenn, Ian, and Scott also continue to RAM IT DOWN with their relentless passion for Heavy Metal. I really enjoyed the show in Nashville, and when I read that the show in Hollywood, FL was being taped for a live DVD, I thought of it as a once in a lifetime opportunity to be a part of Judas Priest history. I flew down and caught the show at the Hard Rock Hotel and was not disappointed. That show was also amazing and I will always remember how the band responded to the enthusiastic crowd and how much they enjoy what they are doing. This show is absolutely a must see and you will forever remember THE HOME OF BRITISH STEEL. LONG LIVE JUDAS PRIEST!

We were informed, prior to our arrival, that Whitesnake had to cancel due to David Coverdale's illness so we were a little disappointed but were, never the less, thoroughly pumped up for Judas Priest. We suffered through the warm up band, Pop Evil, and felt that they did not match the caliber required to be a warm up band for The Priest but the set was short and we were grateful. We were seated about 20 yards from the stage.
A half dozen songs blarred out of the sound system during intermission and then came Black Sabbath's War Pigs. Everyone in the audience was singing the words when the music abruptly stopped followed by the beginning chords of Rapid Fire. The crowd, already on their feet, cheered wildly as the curtain quickly rose and The Priest ripped into the first song off the British Steel LP. The band tore through the whole LP, from start to finish, playing such rare selections as; You Don't Have to be Old to be Wise, The Rage, and Steeler while never missing a word or a note. The Priest played off of the crowd's excitement and emotion with Rob Halford hitting some serious high notes and Glenn Tipton and KK Downing tearing through guitar solo after guitar solo.
Upon completing the British Steel LP, the band played the title track off of their newly released LP Nostradamus, and fan favorites; Diamonds and Rust and Victim of Changes. For the encore, Rob rode out onto the stage on his patented Harley and the band surprised all by playing Freewheel Burning off the Defenders of the Faith LP and closing out with a powerful version of You've got Another Thing Coming off the Screaming for Vengeance LP.
Overall it was an amazing show. The band is certainly on top of their game and the crowd rewarded them for it. A late evening shower did not deter anyone and the Verizon Wireless Ampitheatre was packed from start to finish. I would recommend to all that you see this show as history is being made each time the band performs it. You will never see anything like it again.

On Saturday August 22 Popevil kicked off the concert, they were decent for an opening band... their setlist was short and sweet. The next band was Kix born and raised in MD, of course they got a good welcome from their home state. Kix's set was long, well-played, and very enjoyable. Playing almost all of their hits including "Blow My Fuse" and "Don't Close Your Eyes". The headliner of that night was the metal gods themselves Judas Priest. For all of the years that Priest has been around they still have a commited fan base and they still bring the house down. Everything was amazing except for one concern, was Rob Halford sick? After every song Rob would exit stage left while K.K. and the boys tried to keep fans entertained, Every now and then Rob's face looked as if he was wincing in pain. Halford was hunched over when he was singing too... I as a Priest fan was a little dissapointed that they didn't play some classics such as "Hell Bent For Leather", "The Hellion/Electric Eye", and "Painkiller". Sunday August 23 a band from New York named Coheed & Cambria opened the show, for have never even hearing of them before I thought they played well on their own songs, they also won me over by playing part of "The Trooper" during a guitar solo.... in the middle of one of their songs! The big act of the night: Heaven & Hell (Black Sabbath w/Ronnie James Dio and Vinny Appice). They were just amazing Tony Iomi still playing as if it were yesterday the Paranoid album was released, Geezer Butler was just shocking on bass (I didn't know it was possible to move your fingers like that), Vinny Appice banging away on every song... including a drum solo, and last but not least the godly voice of Ronnie James Dio... people shouldn't have cheered they should have bowed. They were just amazing so thankful of the crowd, talked to us after every song. For both concerts, out of 1 to 5 stars it would be 11(***********).
