This was the 13th consecutive year that I've attended the Bridge School concert, and like many regular attendees, I was a little concerned about the quality of the lineup this year. However, after over 7 hours of solid, entertaining, and varied music, I have to say that this was a very enjoyable event. Although there were fewer big names (e.g., Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters), it was a nice change of pace to get acquainted with newer groups. I was particularly impressed with Wolfmother's set ... a great job of rocking hard with acoustic instruments.
So, on balance, this was a great concert and well worth the time and money to attend. I'm already looking forward to my 14th Bridge School Benefit next year.
