An absolutely amazing show at the beautiful newly restored Howard Theatre. Robert Randolph and the Family Band were a high energy powerhouse of funk, blues, rock, and rhythm. Everyone in the house was on their feet and having a great time

What an event !! Enjoyed watching Robert perform on his steel guitar...impressive !! Robert and the Family Band had the audience dancing and rocking.....was a great show !!

Second concert in 40 years I walked out on. Had seen Robert before which is why I was especially disappointed. Never again.

Our group of 8 left after one song. The sound level was unbearably loud. We complained to Northern Lights management but they did nothing but blame it on the band's sound guys. I was extremely embarrassed that I had recommended this group to my friends and they wasted their money on it.

Great show! Very high energy and good contact and interaction with the audience. We loved the show and would highly recommend it. One of the better shows on tour, if you get a chance don't miss it!

Robert and band are an incredible bundle of energy, playing all genres, and delivering amazing guitar work. Jams wandered from Allman Brother like, Hendrix sounds and even a Led Zep tease. He invited all the girls up on stage to dance during Shake your Hips,

Both JJ Grey / Mofro and Robert Randolph gave fantastic performances. It was great to have an evening of blues with two performers who got the house up and jumping about.
You could tell the audience had a great time and really enjoyed both performances. The best way to sum up the evening - my daughter told me if either groups comes back into town we have to see them again.

Enjoyed very much He can certainly play very full of energy keeps you on your feet! All of them very versitle in music. I saw Robert Randolph at Eric Claptons Crossroads in Chicago I think he keeps getting better and better. I will see him again if given the chance. I do have one question where was his sister?

I didn't know much about these artists before seeing them... other than my husband was a fan. I was so pleasantly impressed! These guys have great energy and exceptional talent. The venue, of course, was amazing on a beautiful summer night. What a great time!

I was excited to see Robert Randolph & the Family Band based on reviews of great soul music, R/B and the blues. What I got was pop music. The songs were long, jams and NO GROOVE. The lyrics did not compliment the songs-if there even were lyrics. How many times can a person say "Were gonna have a good time". Once I saw the size of the drum set (huge), and the bass player playing a 5 string, I knew I was in for trouble. I enjoyed Robert's pedal steel playing, just didn't hear any R-n-B, Blues or Soul. The opening band, JJ Grey and Mofro stole the show.

This is the second concert I have seen at the Zoo and it really is a great place to catch a band. Robert Randolph is phenominal. Fantastic player and great showman. The music is something anyone can dance to.

RR and gang were hotter than the July summer air at the Minnesota Zoo. Must have had 30 ladies from the crowd on stage for a rousing version of "Shake Your Hips." And awesome collaboration with opener JJ Grey and Mofro of "Use Me."

Robert Randolph and the family band simply was sensational. His mixture of blended music styles aka, jazzy, funky, rock blues and some more dash seasonings sure pleased the listening ear of a diverse audience. I only wish his music had more air play so that fans would come to know of him. If he had appeared on the scene of the seventies and eighties, he would be sure a name that's known to sell out concerts. Even though the mikes were at times loud which i'm not sure if that's just the house Theater sound system. Speaking with several audience members it seems we've all in common come to know of Robert Randolph through TV show appearances or You Tube website. I look forward to seeing him again. I recommend you purchase his album titled: Classified. At last I can go to a concert and enjoy real musicians who play and entertain without caught up in hiding behind cover up technology and electronics. my money was well spent. with Robert Randolph I'm back to the days of the 70's and 80's when we had true musicians of the day. Not to mention he's an awesome! steel guitar player.

RR does not disappoint. Complete jam session. Amazing energy - completely feeds off the crowd. Not for someone who wants to go to a concert and hear live version of studio albums. Howard Theatre was great venue. We were worried initially when they seated us at tables and gave us menus, though there is sufficient 'standing room' in front of the stage for those who cannot sit still while listening to RR.
