I've been a fan of Adema for a long time, something about their debut just really caught my attention when I was 18 and I've stuck with them ever since (well at least for the Marky Chavez Mike Ransom years). I was so excited to hear the news that the original lineup had reunited for the first time in about six years, because even though Chavez isn't the most charasmatic or talented lead singer in the game there is something about his raspy unpolished delivery that is simply infectious and moreover the return of Ransom gives the band a much needed shot in the arm that they have been missing since his departure.
Im happy to say that the newly reunited band did not dissapoint. Interestingly enough they chose to open with two songs off of "Unstable" the bands second less popular CD but that was a small hickup in an otherwise awesome show. There were a few techincal problems that the band had to deal with (specifically the microphone and amplifier problems that plagued nearly every band in the lineup last night) but outside of that they sounded great and put on a great show.
The biggest problem I would say with the show was the audience. Adema tried mostly unsuccessfully the entire show to get the crowd moving and excited. Since it was kind of a sparsly attended concert (which I think can be completely blamed on the lack of promotion) that made it a little harder to accomplish getting the crowd as into the show as the band was. However that didn't effect the level the band performed at.
