I was very disappointed. My husband and I saw David Alan Grier in Tempe, AZ over two years ago. This was the same routine word for word.

I see on average about 15-20 comedy shows a year so I have seen the gamut of performers. I can say without a doubt that DAG is truly talented and one of the best I've seen. His jokes were all timely, he had plenty of crowd interaction (including directly with me on several occasions), drew from his personal life, and his mixture of comedy, facial expressions, intonation, and singing literally had me laughing so hard that my stomach hurt and tears were streaming down my cheeks.
His opening act was also VERY funny and would be somebody that I would go see if he was headlinging a show- THAT good.

I bought tickets for myself and 3 friends and all of us agreed that it was one of the funniest people we've ever seen. Do yourself a favor and go see this show.

David Alan Grier was absolutely side-splitting, and his spot-on delivery is a large part of what makes his act so funny. He did not disappoint on any level and his ability to play off of the people in the front row was talent at its best. The room loved him, and we personally laughed so hard we could barely breathe. A must-see. My favorite Punch Line performer to date.

Overall, it was a very funny, high-energy show. I've never seen DAG's stand-up so I didn't know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. All of this content was relatable and contemporary from voting to relationships. His opener, the LMFAO girl was okay, but Helen Kim was AMAZING and hilarious! We were a little disappointed that they weren't doing photo-ops. It would have been the icing on the cake.

David is hilarious, and puts on a great show. BUT! We were sitting in the loft, on the same side as the mens room, and the acoustics were terrible. We had to strain to hear, and could only understand about half of what he said. These could be great seats if the acoustics were improved.

It's a long ass drive up to the City from the south bay, but this show was worth it. DAG was his typical crazy assed self. The warm up guy was good too.

He is a must see. Physical, animated, and downright hilarious. His jokes are dirtier than you might expect, and unless you want to be the subject of most of his jokes for the rest of the show, don't sit in the front rows.

David Allen Grier was so funny. He has the audienece in tears. He came out and the crowd exploded in laughter. He was energetic and just plain funny. He touched on taboo issues like race and sexual orientation. He was great and afterwards did a book signing and posed for pictures. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
